I had my eight week post op appointment with my surgeon yesterday. (ok... only 7 1/2 weeks) :o . First they did xrays and then the appointment. The hardware is in the right position and still solid. Fusion has started and is doing very well. He was very pleased with the outcome. I do not have to wear my brace anymore if I do not wish to. He said just keep doing what I am doing. It is working for me.

I have not had Physical Therapy prescribed except to walk. I go to one of the larger stores in the area and grab a cart and push. The cart gives me a bit more stability. I am very pleased with the results and it is so much better than earlier surgeries.

I hope each of you are doing well and have a blessed and Merry Christmas!!!

Big Joe, great 7.5 week report. It has to feel good not to need your brace any more. I think most of us use shopping carts as walkers any more. My wife automatically lets me push the cart any more because she knows it is my walking aid. Keep up the good work on recovery and walk, walk, walk.

        Have a very Merry Christmas.
