I had a car accident in early December when a truck was blocking my 11 miles of two-lane back road. I came over a very small rise & there it was -- TRUCK! I did a 180 and spun into the ditch, still travelling backwards. I briefly popped out of my body w/ the thought "I guess this must be like when you die in a car accident -- it wouldn't be that bad". But my brain was sloshing around my skull & I was having trouble connecting w/ the real world. I just followed the bad trucker's instructions and got the car out of the ditch & on to my GP appointment.
I HATE flatbed trucks now!
So I'm behind another F*** Truck in the starting rain last week in traffic when he rear-ends another small car. He fishtailed a bit at first, and so did I, but I wasn't that close behind him. FLASHBACK TIME! Next thing I know, he's gunning it in reverse, almost hitting me, & running for the hills! I sat there stunned for a minute in the middle of the intersection, & then decided it would be a good thing if I moved, so I pulled into a Wendy's down the block & called 911. The smallish car he'd rear-ended had a smashed-in hatchback area as well as a popped front end w/ smoke coming out of the engine.
I HATE flatbed trucks even more now. I get the creeps every time there's one in front of me on the road. I had a bad time driving home after this most recent incident & didn't want to drive for quite a few days. Maybe I'll just stay home.

Old pick-ups are way worse than new ones because the drivers don't even care what happens to them, plus they know their bumpers are likely higher than yours! It's like bumper cars at the amusement park.
