Oh sure blame the big guy for all of your mistakes Now that the link is fixed it's off to do some (hopefully) final tweaking ;)
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

(((Rose))) Thanks hon :) I'm actually no longer stressed about this because the bare minimum the host requires is done. All I'm doing is working on making it a more complete solution. Working with this awesome guy named Kevin who's doing most of the heavy lifting with the extra :)

I was referring to you conversing with yourself. I think that might be a sign of stress.

Thanks for working all of this out for us. And thanks to Kevin too. Umm ... there really IS a Kevin, right, Mike?

None necessary. Just wondered if perhaps it got dumped into my spam box and then forwarded to whatever.

Parsi, your birthday is no longer on the calendar or in your Profile. In fact there are very few birthdays on the calendar now. I'm not sure how that happened but it did.

I gave up on finding people's birthdays a while back because the member list included so many people who weren't active members, including large numbers with 0 posts--many of them "bot" or bogus registrations. If I notice a birthday on the calendar and the person is still active here, I try to mention the birthday in the Chitchat thread.

As for the birthday e-mail, I know very little about how that works but the system probably picks up birthdays from the Profile and/or calendar listings.

I believe your birthday was February 9? A belated happy birthday if nobody here remembered it at the time.

Maybe it got dropped with the most recent changeover. Don't know.
But yes you're correct on the date.
And I haven't been really active here for sometime.
I wasn't referring to greetings from you or other members. There was a greeting email from BrainTalk itself.
                            No matter.

                              Hi Parsi!

I do occasionally see a jpg picture attached to my post it worried me but so far it has never made it through I was concerned that it might be something "inappropriate". Usually I can not get my post typed before it times out. I have learned after loosing posts that before I hit "post reply" to highlight it and copy then if I have to sign again it doesnt disapear. And I figured out how to do that all by myself!

                                HI Gary :)

There is a feature called "auto restore" that will pop up in the lower left corner if you lose your post. Refresh the page and it should pop up and when you click on it most if not all of your post will reappear :)

                                Hi Agate :)

I forgot to turn them back on (turned them off when the host turned off our emails) I just did so, by tomorrow it should repopulate the calender.
