Hummer, sorry it took so long to get back to you. My Thanksgiving trip was nice as I got to visit with a couple of friends, one a former player, along with visiting Penny's family. I found out I can no longer drive longer than 1.5 hours as Penny drove all the way up except for the 1.5 hours and then the whole trip back. It took me a week to recover from the trip as I was sleeping for 24 - 36 hours getting to be awake one day and then more marathon sleeping. Then I had to turn around this week and go with my son to WD him from college, he wants to go in the AF, so another 7 hour round trip drive that put me out once again and I am just getting back into my regular routine today after three weeks total. I will try and write more later as I enjoy your and Jo's ramblings. Alex, I didn't know you were living on a boat either. Leave it to you to move to desert and live on a boat.

Mark I USED to live on an old wooden Egg Harbor on a creek in Virginia of the Potomic River below D.C. These wer some of the best days of my life. I had to go to florida on bussiness, the dam thing sank. OH well, you could hear the canadian honkers (Geese) coming in for a landing and i got to see lots os wildlife. I could have done that again instead of a house, old wooded boats are not hard to come by if you can do the work and did I mention maintenance? a 24 four hour a day job i cant't do , that and a boat is a hole in the water you throw money at. A lot of fun for about 5 years. Anyway, Hi Hummer, mark thanks for the input and hope everyone is feeling at least OK.

PS did you know the happiest days in a boaters life are when he buys the boat, then againe when he sells it.

of my, I like to have never found this page! We can't let it get lost again. To me it is a link to all that post here and a good way of knowing how each other is doing.

Dear Hummer, I haven't seen anything from you lately, I hope it isn't because you are not able to post. I miss you and I've got to get back to you "dirt building" page. I am going to plant something, probably not much, but Something!!

Hello to everybody else. It is nice to see some oldeies back and also some newbie's. I do have high hopes for Brain Talk. It has been good to me for many years and I would like to pass some goodness on to others.

Much happiness to all, Julia aka Jo

Hello Julia I agree we should keep this page going. It is good to hear from you and know you are hanging in there. I agree that BT has been a real blessing for me too. I hope more find this place and get it hopping like it had been before the big crashes.

The new year has been tough for me as my pain has increased with the continued decline with my spine. I am hanging in there though and getting through each day best that I can. The extended family has been fighting a stomach flu that keeps going around. Tyrel is now getting things lined up with the Army as he decided it was going to be his best match. He hopes to leave in a couple months but it all depends on the field and the Army's needs. Megan is pregnant for their second child. Emery is as cute as ever and always willing to play and laugh with grandpa. They were just over this past Sunday and grandpa was chasing Emery but she wanted us both to hop, by the time we were done she had me wore out. Dinner was different as Emery must have been starving the way she attacked the food, mashed potatoes were her favorite. Penny is down with lumbar troubles so she gets to see first hand what my life is like. I wish she didn't have to suffer but it does give her a better idea of the pain I deal with every day. One of her big complaints is how boring it is which is something I have tried to get her to understand about my life. She had gotten why I needed her company in the evening but now it is much clearer.

Winter has come finally as the temps have dropped to the 20s & 30s and snow has arrived although it wasn't enough to amount to anything. Now that our Winter has come it is time for Spring to get here. It will be nice when the temperatures get consistently warm enough to get out for walks. Our town has two really nice walking paths that Penny and I take. One is along the Ohio River and is very scenic along with we usually get a cool breeze off the river. The other path is a walk in the woods. For those wanting to walk for exercise the town has extended the wooded walk to follow the path in the baseball and softball fields park that goes even further as it connects to the sidewalk that goes to the elementary school. Time to close but I hope we get a numer of others to add their piece and we keep this thread going.
