        Hi Brion

Hi Brion, I remember you, I don't remember the exact time when I joined BT, but it's been a long time since I was one here, I used to be shihmuffy, well now I'm Karenica. It's nice to see some of the old names coming back. After many years, I have a fused neck, and lots of degeneration in thoracic and lumbar spine it's all due to having rheumatoid arthritis. Despite all of this I'm doing fine. It's nice to be back.

WHEN I HEAR " Nerve Conduction Test " I feel like I. Am going to pass out.!! I am it young, have lived through some
horrible pain most of my adult life. I have to admit , nerve conductor pain was by far the worst pain l have ever had.

Sorry about all the mistakes I am making. Typing on very small key board and e eyesight not what it used to be. Neither is anything else. Somebody played a dirty trick on me when they said " The Golden Years" were something to look forward to.

Jo, they don't make the Ipad and other devices for those of us with big/clumsy fingers. Your post was an interesting read though and I hope you can stay away from nerve induction testing in the future.

Hi all! I do recognize many names here, including you, Brion! I joined back in 2002, but haven't been here in a VERY long time. I especially remember you, Diandra, because you were the one I sent a PM to after my house burned down and we lost my daughter, back in January 2011. My hubby had an awful year, spent 2 months in the hospital for severe burns to his hands, and then had a bad bi-polar event in June of the same year, and spent over three full months in Psych hospitals.... Thank god that's long behind us now, and we are retired and doing well here in NJ. We bought a big house and my son and his family live here with us. We have had some great times since then, vacations, etc and, in fact, just returned from a trip to Costa Rica. Oh, is that place gorgeous!!! Anyhow, I happen to have a stomach virus that's been going around, so I'm relaxing and playing on the computer. I decided to look you guys up, so here I am!

I remember several of you folks by your names, and was so very grateful for the support of you all after the fire. It was really touch and go with my DH there for awhile, but, thank God, he is doing well. He had delayed carbon monoxide poisoning, and I think he still suffers some neurological problems from that, but, otherwise, he's okay. In addition to his state pension, we are both on SSDI, so we are financially doing okay. Funny, I used to be an SS Claims Adjudicator! Anyhow, I especially want to remember Diandra, Mark and Alex from early 2011. You guys helped more than you know. I'll try to come back and read as my time permits, but my 2 grandkids do keep me busy! Oh, we have a third on the way in early July, too!

Much love to all, Smiling Angel, aka Just Jacquie

                  Ah yes...the old days!

I stopped posting around 2000 if I remember correctly. One of a handful of people with Trigeminal Neuralgia. Those were crazy times! Just decided to come back and check it out.

Jacquie it is good to see you checking in and to hear Tom is doing better. Things have really improved at home for me so now the pain is the major issue and different days have different amounts of pain.

Boomette, good to see you again. I remember your issues as my wife was dealing with it at the time and I had her read the post to see others dealing with it.

Hi Mark, Alex, Jo, clouds, and all the others I remember. Brion, how could I forget you. I remember when you were away, and understood completely.

Me, WELLLLLL.......I've been posting here since 98'....not much the past few years at all.....I even got banned from these forums for awhile under my old name giraffe.....lol..........but that changed when new moderators took over. I, too, have learned a lot about political correctness.....well, maybe a bit......LOL.

I still have rheumatoid arthritis, still deal with chronic pain, but have overall been doing fairly well for about 3 years now since moving into a residential care facility and accepting the fact that prednisone is a drug I need to deal with on a regular basis.

I sure miss some of the wild days on the old forums..............

made a lot of friends and have a lot of good memories.............

most of all though, I will never forget the support and love I felt when my grandson Augie was sick and died from Krabbes Leukodystrophy. Brion, I believe you even held my hand while still in your own pain about your son.

Kerry Giraffe................who still can post with da best of 'em

Hey Kerry ~ Long tiime no see! Where have you been hiding? Where did everyone else go? Is there some forum somewhere, where they're all hiding? LOL

Good to see you. I don't post here often, but I read once in a blue moon. I'm still disabled, and have added Fibro to my list of junk. lol I'm so tired of taking medication I could scream.

We're still freezing in the tundra of Michigan -- haven't started warming up at all. It snowed yesterday too. I hate WHITE!!!

Hope everyone is doing okay. If you're all like me, you'll feel better when the weather gets warmer! God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee

Hi, Lee ~ Howdaheck are you? I haven't been online in almost five years, but recently got on again and joined facebook.
(I live outside a small town now and high-speed internet was'nt available here until recently.)

I've lost touch with almost everyone I knew who posted here, except Rockhound. LOL............we had some amazing times on these forums, didn't we? Good times and bad, though, there was always a sense of community.

I hear you about the warmer weather. It helps my RA. No such luck right now though. We just got 5 inches of snow last night. Bleah!

Nice to hear from you, sweetie. You hang in there and take it one day at a time........as usual for all of us....LOL.

Kerry, good to see you checking in and to hear you are doing okay. Rockhound I forgot all about that name until just now but I didn't forget the person, if it is the one I am thinking of. I am waiting for Spring to really get here too. I need to get out a little bit as I don't get out very much any more. It is nice when I can get out in the yard and do some gardening and just enjoy the warm air and the sun with the blue sky. It won't be too much longer before it gets here for us.

HEY RAFFE!! HOW THE HECK ARE YOU? Oh, sorry about the caps. I got so excited to see you I just help but yell a little. I thought I had lost you forever, but so delighted to see you.

Ah yeah, the good old days. teehee we did have some fun, but we also made dear friends that will last forever. When I think of some of those "wild times" I can't believe we sweet people got into so much trouble.

you may remember Issy, but after one of the "shut downs" I went back to Jo and just plain old Julia, my legal name. I'm glad you are settled and happy in your home. I'm older than dirt so I guess it was time to start behaving.

I was caregiver for my MIL for nearly 14 years. She had Alzheimer's. She passed on about a year and a half ago. Poor baby had some strokes and broken bones and the last 4 yrs. she could not move or talk. It was a horrible time for her, but thank God she is not suffering any more.

I found I had a shot back among other things and I get about with a walker. It has 4 wheels so I can get about really good. I am thankful for any thing I can do these days.

So,I know what it feels like to get banned so you aren't alone. lol I would love to sit down and have a long chat with you. I sure missed you and yes, I remember you darling grandson. I lost a beautiful great grand son somewhere along that time. He was a Downs Syndrome child. No matter what we still love them and miss them very much.

well, better take a break. I can't go on and on like I used to do. You have made my day Raffe!. Time flys by so when you feel like chatting some we need to catch up. I would like to tell you something about the guy named Mark, always in the Sanctuary.

You take care Kerry. I hope to talk soon.

Ii'm sending you my love, Julia aka Jo s
