    Somebody help

I am considering going to the ER but am trying to decide if I should go tonight or wait and see.

I am having what feels like a very serious gall bladder attack. I am maxed at pain meds and still can feel what feels like I am passing a gall stone. I don't have a gallbladder. Is it possible for maybe a bit of stone to have stayed in what is left of the duct and waited this long to move? Possibly triggered by some fantastic egg and potato salad lol ouch, ouch. Not funny I have been intears for hours. Like a dumb arse I have been eating just like regular today because it didn't occur to me that something to do with my ex gall bladder may be happening. Please? Could this just pass the stone/ I don't want to go to he hopital

've had that kind of pain with bad nausea for years. Been to the hospital quite a feew times and they say they see nothing wrong. I guess I'd need to pass out or puke blood for anyone to believe me. It's running and ruining my life, I have no life anymore.

No I didn't go to the ER. When I woke yesterday morning I could still feel the pressure so was careful what I ate and I didn't get the pain I had the night before. Thank God cause if I hadn't have had access to pain meds I prolly would have gone to ER the night before. I did find out what dose of my pain meds actually eases my all over pain. More than I would take in a daily period of time normally. Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...

Then of course while I was napping yesterday I must have slept wrong because as soon as I got up to take a step I got a shooting pain in my knee. Felt like I had a big air bubble beneath my knee cap with a pinched nerve in it. So I knew it was just a matter of time before it popped with horrific pain and everything slid back to where it belongs so I limped around in agony and the pop was anticlimatic but it still feels like it is on the edge of pinching again and today the back outside of my knee hurts also from walking a bit off on it. And that cotton pickin' scar tissue that I have in the arch of my foot hurts so bad I can barely walk anyway.

I just don't get it. Things are going along and then suddenly it is like my body has mutineed. I can't pain, I can't plant, I can't even load the dishwasher. Thats gonna go over well.

now Christina, next time you are hurting or have broken your arm or fell, whatEVER, don't just THINK about ER, GO!! Do not pass Go, do not get thrown in jail etc. just GO!!

You think too much. You can still think while they work on you. Take it from this old wife's tale, GO!

Really, something isn't right and I know you had rather go when you can walk a little better and all that, you need to still go. I will nag, on & on and you will have to tell me to shut up!!

It's because I love you so! I've been around a long time and if I start hurting so bad I will go. I think I learned a valuable lesson when I fell and almost took my scalp off my head. I remember barely Ken saing I'm taking you to ER and me telling him in the voice oh so very far away saying not, not this time. Can you believe I was woning why he didn't just take me on to hospital? Yeah, that is a very bad fall.

I did tell him much later, days later, that if he ever thought I needed to go to ER not ask me, just make sure I've got my big girl bloomers on!! and haul me on any way no matter what I said.

I do care about you and I know everybody else does too. I'm glad you got a little relief from the pain, but something is not right and you need to find out what it is.

Not sure where your kidney's are in relation to your pain, but maybe kidney stones? When you said if felt like you were passing a gallstone, but you didn't have a gall bladder, I wondered about the kidney issue!

So , get busy and go get seen about. You listen to old as dirt Granny Jo!! ((((((christina))))))
Did you ever know that you're my hero and every thing I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

                    for my brother Ben

But Jo I have been into the ER a ridiculous amount of times and if I am not dying they make you sit and sit and sit and sit
and by then I am in tears because laying there with no pillow on a mat that is three inches thick on a metal table is excruciating. The last time I went for my heart they left me on one of those %$)*^$ tables for 3 hours doing nothing but drawing blood. If they are not that concerned then I figure I am not dying and will take care of it on my own. So now I am waiting to see the heart specialist and am fine.

Same with this probable gallbladder stuff. They would have taken 6 hours of me laying on that bed to do a scan, treat me for the pain and then send me home to see my primary in a week so I can see a specialist. That is the way it always goes. So I treated my pain and will see my primary next week so I can see a specialist. Now if it happens again I will go to the ER. I'm not a sucker for punishment lol

Hey Chris, I had my hot gallbladder out 40 years ago & I still occasionally get pains. My Other Cousin is a GI doc & he says there could be a little pouch that's developed at the common duct. I think we can still make "sand", but I don't know about stones. Anyway, once in a while I get spasms of that common duct or else my entire gut is seething. Talk to your doc about Levsin S/L [sublingual] -- that's what does the trick for me. AKA Hyoscyamine 0.125mg. You will definitely be thirsty but maybe more comfortable. My dad used to make me take Belladonna drops -- yuck.

But seriously, if you're maxxed out on pain meds, SOMETHING just might be wrong. We all want you back onboard so we can nag you more!

So I'm not the only one being tortured. I stuggle with the worst nausea most days, I am crippled by it. No one can seem to help me. Sometimes I wish something would happen and I'd just stop breathing. I don't want to live like this. There is no joy in this kind of existence.

                            Get yourself checked out!!!

Yes, I know, I never post, here, anymore! *But*, *now*, I'm *not* letting *this*, go!!
Look! With all of the pain, you're, in, you *need* to be seen!!! And, as far as those stretchers,
tell them, you *need* a hospital *bed*!!! Chris, I've had kidney stones which, hurt like, hell!!
I had to be hospitalized with an I.V.!! They had to do it with Meds.!! Guess, why?!? I WAITED!!!
*DON'T* make the same goofy mistake! Again, tell them, you *need* a bed! It's a *hospital*!
It not like, they don't have one!

Phyllis I no longer have a gallbladder. I already had it out due to some bothersome gall stones.

Now I suffer from IBS that is kept mostly at rest with Digestive Advantage but without it I have wicked nausea and terrible gut cramping, diarrhea and gas.

Barque I odn't know how you feel about it or if you have ever tried it but Marihuana is wonderful for those with stomach issues. Maybe it is something you could read up on. When I am having trouble with my nausea and crampy bowel that only way I can even get food down is to smoke about 15 minutes before eating. If I am okay or my digestive stuff is kept current I don't need to smoke. Thank God it has settled down for a while now that all my meds and stuff are staying filled liked they should be.

Barque I know I could go to the doc and he would be more than happy to write me a scrip for whatever I need but my goal is to keep the meds to a minimum. That is why I treat my IBS myself because as soon as I make a complaint he is going to wanna send me to all kinds of specialists who will do all kinds of miserable tests just to write me a scrip. As long as it is not affecting my every day life then I am fine with that. Shoot with all the other problems I have my IBS is low on the list.

Now for my gallbladder, I know that after surgery some 'sludge' or small gravel can be left behind in the ducts. Guess I should have looked to see if it will pass by itself or if it gets bunched up and stuck.

I have 5 different doctor appts coming up and that is not even including yet another visit to see my primary so he can do a referral for this new issue. I was there a little over two weeks ago and his nurse, who is new, is just now getting my paperwork taken care of. I called there yesterday and talked to the referral lady and told her that my doc's nurse is slackin' off so today the nurse calls me with a question about my insurance so I grilled her about who I was to see and how many referrals I needed and she tried to claim that most had been sent out. That is when she tells me that I have to see their Ob/Gyn because the pap I had done way back in November came back suspect and no one ever told me. It only takes 3-4 days at the most to get my mail from there and it has been almost 3 weeks for one and months for the other. Needless to say I am pretty po'ed.
