Are you not seeing the Comment feature on any posts? Are you seeing the Comments posted in this thread?

Linda, it's hard to know how any other person uses an Internet or computer feature but I myself never bother with the "Comment" feature. So far as I can figure out, all it does is add a caption to a person's post saying something like

Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register... commented on Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...'s Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register... [copied from the Chitchat thread for September]

which is something I can figure out by reading that comment by stillstANNding. And it seems to me that if not everyone is using the "Comment" feature but you are using it to have easier access to replies to your posts, you're going to miss quite a few of them, aren't you? For instance, in the September Chitchat thread I copied the above example from, I went through several pages of posts before finding an instance where someone had used the Comment feature.

Maybe I don't understand what the "Comment" feature is supposed to accomplish but it's new to me, and I'm still learning. I hope someone will let me know what I'm missing about the "Comment" feature.

When I don't want to read through an entire thread just to find what one person has had to say, I go to that person's user name, click on it to get to the Profile, click on the "About" tab and scroll down to the "Links" section where it will say "Find all posts." I will be looking at all of that person's posts starting with the most recent one, and I can see what that person has been saying here or on any of the BT forums.

This sounds like a complicated process but after you've done it a few times it's not so bad.

          Hi Lazarus :)

Go to the top of the page and click on "messages" then click on "Lazarus" I did reply on 9.18 :) This new messaging system does take some getting used to :(

Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

          Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.
