Excellent! Slow and steady wins the race! Keep going ~

I have read that the booster is likely to result in the same or similar reaction as the second dose, so it sounds like your reaction was typical. I hope that you are feeling much better now. Your step count seems to indicate that you are. May it continue to be so for you.

          Love & Light,

Today I swam for the first time since this decline took place. I swam for 22 minutes 1920 feet about 1/3 mile.
DH wheels me to the steps and back since at that time of day I can't walk the 12 steps back and forth.

Bravo, Sunshine! You're probably keeping up your muscle tone and doing all kinds of other beneficial things even though it's an effort.

I’m so happy to see you are back in the water, Sunshine, and that in October you were able to go from 8 steps to over 1000. That is perseverance.

I echo what Ann had to say Sunshine. You went from 8 steps up to 1064 in about 6 days. Then you started swimming again. You are doing really good.

Some step counts--there are 3 missing days when the pedometer wasn't in a good mood:

                    10/2/21 - 1386 steps
                    10/4/21 - 1553 "
                    10/5/21 - 1630 "
                    10/6/21 - 2155 "
                    10/7/21 - 1411 "
                    10/8/21 - 752 "
                    10/10/21 -1502 "
                    10/11/21 - 1341 "
                    10/12/21 - 1404 "
                    10/13/21 - 1651 "

Agate, these are wonderful step counts. 10/6 must have been a day when you either chased the Postman down or did a walk around of your complex - also 10/13 and 10/10 and 10/5, and on and on you went in September.

                        Great job agate!
                        Yesterday I walked 10 steps.
The day before I walked 103 steps which I paid dearly with increased spasticity.

I don't know what is going on here. But it looks so far like the same issue will happen today.

I am wondering if something is going on with your pump Sunshine. Does it need to be checked to see if it is still operating correctly?

The pump has yet to help. At the same time, the SPS progresses; like MS, it is a progressive disease, not static.
They will be testing the pump soon if the next increase doesn't start working: the concern is the the tube has slipped out of the spinal cord so that the liquid is simply going into the body, doing no harm, but no good either.

I have been walking about 30 steps per day

Today, I swam for 24 minutes, about 1/3 mile. DH takes me to the water and back to the shower in a transport chair as the 12 steps to the water is too far.
It is the first time in a while I had the time for a swim: either a 3x per week enema or a doctor's visit, or the need to cook a meal for 3 days with my housekeeper's help, or IVIG has gotten in the way.

In the afternoon, I am in poor shape for cooking, swimming or really doing much of anything other than relaxing.

Sounds as if you have to grab the good moments and make the best of them, and they are all too rare, Sunshine. I hope that the pump situation can be improved for you.

But swimming 1/3 of a mile is fantastic! And I'm sure it did you a world of good.
