Howie and Virginia, I hope you are both healing from your falls. I haven't had to deal with that yet but I am sure it is scary. I do have a harder time getting up from the floor so I know that worry will be in my future, hopefully not for a long time.

Virginia, It sounds like you had a wonderful time visiting with our family! I am so glad you were able to visit with your older brother and had some alone time with him. As we get older we realize that time spent with loved ones is precious and we never knows what the future holds for us. It sounds like the restaurant was very accommodating for the size of your group. I hope the memories of that visit bring a smile to your face for a long time!

I decorated the inside of my house for Christmas. What used to take only a day now takes me 4-5 days. I'm sure much of it is me getting older. I was a little down in the dumps about changing my Thanksgiving plans to stay home so I started decorating on Wednesday and that helped brighten my mood. We still have to pick out Christmas trees and decorate them. We plan to get them later this week and probably will decorate over the weekend. I am fortunate my hubby loves to decorate for the holidays and takes care of the outside decorating. I think we could do with less but he enjoys doing it so I try not to discourage him! He also does the Christmas shopping for our kids and grandkids. I gladly relinquish that task to him as I hate shopping even on-line shopping.

Christmas will be here before we know it. What are your plans for the Christmas holidays? Any special traditions?

Snuggles, except for last year (COVID) my plans have kind of been written in stone. My family Christmas is on Christmas Eve night. So, hopefully I will see nephews and nieces and people that I have not seen since year before last. My memory with time is kicking in and I think we did get together the year before that, so I guess this will be two years since I have seen some of them. We will go to the sister-in-law's who cooked all the food for Thanksgiving. Two years ago we went to my other brother's house, but they decided to always have it at my youngest brother's from now on.

You and your husband sound a lot like my youngest brother and his wife. She decorates to the nines on the inside and he decorates on the outside. They both love Christmas. So, the family will be going there and enjoying their Christmas decorations. I have a nephew and his wife who like to decorate a lot and have invited us to go to their house, but they live about 1 1/2 hours from us so we let them come here rather than have a whole bunch of cars on the road.

I will put a wreath on the door and since I do not have anyone coming in I sometimes just put up a small table top tree and some years I try to go someplace and get 3 or 4 poinsettias and sit them in the front part of my house. That is my decorating now. It used to be so much more, but not any longer.

Thanks for asking about the fall. I think I am pretty much over it now. It took me quite some time to get over that fall. My hands hurt and my hip was quite painful, but I am doing well from the fall and when I think about it I still count my blessings.

Snuggles, I seem to have recovered from my fall. I just went to the store, and of course got Sam her turkey. I am now broke, but have just enough to get through to payday. I'm getting good at JUST making it to the end of the month.

The weather is on the warm side for this time of the year.

        Everyone have a pleasant evening!

          Virginia and Howie ~

It's a relief to know that both of you have recovered from your falls. Just keep watching your step and don't try any acrobatics.

          Snuggles ~

Years ago, it looked like Christmas exploded in our home, as I decorated every room, and Jim put lights up outside. Those traditions are over now. Last year, I put out a few linens, and that was it. Our garage has several generations of artificial trees, as well as boxes and boxes filled with decorations. It is just more work than I can manage, and I decorated for my children, husband, and our friends, who visited. Now, it is only me, and I don't have the energy to take it all out and put it away.

Prayers for everyone to remain safe, healthy, and strong ~

          Love & Light,
