Thank you Agate. I did tell him what you said in a text I sent him today. He thought it was really nice of you to mention him.

Traffic on here is just about non-existent. I hope it picks up. I miss coming on at different times of the day and talking to different people.

    Everyone sleep well.

Agate, I don't have a printer, but when I order anything online, I save the online receipt. My sister has a printer, and would print it out if I sent it to her. I think most retailers online are honest, and are eager to fix mistakes so you will be a return customer.

Howie, I sometimes wish I could get rid of my printer because dealing with it can be exasperating. So I never print out a receipt unless I have to. I always try to get a paper receipt for anything I buy but if that's not possible, I rely on looking at the invoice/receipt online. Yes, most merchants are eager to please the customer, in my experience. I'm more likely to trust the ones who have been in business a while. I've had very good luck with getting problems solved and arranging exchanges and returns.

Virginia, I wish we had more people too.

I am very happy that your ear problem and seizures have resolved. I pray that will continue to be so for you.

Have you ever considered giving Sam her own YouTube channel? She has so many extraordinary talents, she could bring in a lot of cash for you two!

Think about it, and discuss it with Sam.

Happy Birthday Eric! Thank you for taking good care of Virginia!

I'm sure you are relieved to hear from Eric. Unfortunately, I've had some experience with burns. If he thinks he has an area of infection, he needs to consult his physician. It doesn't take much for an infection to become serious with a burn.

The timeline change for completing the rebuilding of his home seems more reasonable. I hope that everything will go smoothly as they progress toward returning to their home.

Great news that he is recovering receipts for his business! Things are moving along well, it seems. May it continue to be so.

Prayers, healing, positive energy to all ~

Thank you Rose. My Niece called today and she is going to try to get the family together next week. If it happens I will get to see my precious little boy in person again. I thanked her for putting up the album with him. I told her how nice it had been to keep up with him and how he is growing since I do not get to see him often.

My Niece said she was so glad Grayson was at home when the fire started. She said her Dad was shaking so bad he couldn't dial 911 and Grayson had to do it. So in spite of it all there is much to be thankful for.

I hope you are doing alright Rose. I am going to try to start reading again. I have only read one book since coming home from being sick, and it had been awhile before that because I was sick for quite awhile before going to hospital. I am about "wordled" out and need something else to occupy my mind.

"Wordled?" I'll have to look that one up in the dictionary.

Not much going on here. I've seen everything showing on the TV. I know, my sister brought me a box set of X-men CDs. I have heard the term, X-men, but have no idea about their history. That should keep me busy this weekend.

Sam and I wish everyone a great day!

I've heard quite a bit about X-men but have no idea what they're about. Maybe you could clue us in, Howie.

I'm not wordled out yet but I get addicted to word games.

Howie, I've heard of X-Men, but like Agate I have no idea what they are about. You have a good and nice Sister who tries to keep your mind occupied. It also means Sam can watch and stay occupied with you if she can stay awake.

Agate, wordle is addictive. After I do the N.Y. Times one, I start on "wordle unlimited". I do find that one is sometime a little harder, and I often start a new one and don't go to bed until really, really late. I will try to stick to doing the N.Y. Times wordle and then read my book.

I have a new book that I know nothing about other than the author is Amor Towels who wrote "A Gentleman in Moscow" which I enjoyed a lot. The name of the book I haven't started yet is "The Lincoln Highway".

wordle unlimited lets you play with words of any length? I just looked at it and think I'll stick to my daily "ration" of wordle followed by dordle and hellowordl. I try to limit myself to those 3 and sometimes I'm in a hurry and just give up on figuring out the word.

How nice for your family to get together. I hope it happens. I'm sure you are anxious to hold your precious nephew. It seems incredible how quickly babies change, especially if you aren't with the baby on a regular basis.

It is a blessing that Grayson was there on the night of the fire. Eric was probably experiencing shock, trauma, as well as pain in his burnt hands.

Sending positive thoughts that all will go smoothly with the reconstruction.

I am fine. John and I accomplished one item on my list last week. It went well.

On Monday, I am going to schedule a dental appointment. I was going to wait until I had my eye exam and new glasses, so I could drive, because I know I need extensive dental work, requiring numerous visits. However, I discovered that one of my upper teeth is wobbly, so, I need to get this done sooner rather than later. I am dreading it.

Fortunately, we have a very wonderful dentist, who is loving and compassionate. She knows our family but doesn't know that Jon and Jim have passed. I am sure that she and her staff will be very sad with this news, especially since they all loved Jim so much. Once she hears the story, she will understand why it has been so long since I've seen her.

                      Howie ~

That was nice of your sister to give you a box of X-Men DVDs (I'm assuming it is video, not audio). Add me to the list of those, who don't know about the series. Please share your reviews here!

I'm not wordled out yet either. But, I don't play any of the Wordle-like games. I just take a moment out of my day to guess the daily Wordle. Success in finding the correct word is satisfying.

Agate, I have "worlde unlimited" set as a favorite on my iPad and it is identical to the original in the New York Times - just the good old 5 letter words, played the same way. It just seems to me that some of them are harder. I think I must be a little obsessive/compulsive because I can't seem to put one aside once I start it. I will continue to do the NY Times and read at other times to break the addiction.

Shout out to Agate: I tried the the no-rinse, disposable wash cloths with soap in them and they work very well for sponge baths!

I'm very keen on them too. At the end of a tiring day they are there if I need to bathe but don't feel up to an actual bath.

                          Did someone say sponge?

                            DENTAL INSURANCE
                            ((((((Hugs To All)))))) ~

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I gave this post a title. (We used to be able to title our posts in the old format.)

Knowing that I would eventually be facing extensive and expensive dental care, I should have done this a long time ago. But I did not.

I looked at Delta Dental with AARP today. I have a fantastic dentist, as I said, and she doesn't appear to be contracted with Delta Dental. I do not want to go to another dentist in their network. Nonetheless, having dental insurance should reduce my cost for the work I need. However, I saw quite a few exclusions and a wait of 6 months before some benefits kick in.

If you have dental insurance, or know someone who does, please share your experience with me. I appreciate all of the advice you can give. Thank you so much!

Rose, I've had Delta dental insurance for many years. Every month I pay $47 to Moda Health for the premiums, and the premiums go up each year by a few dollars. The coverage has been only partial each time but at least it's better than no coverage, and I do have to make sure that the dentist I go to accepts that plan.

I believe they have different plans, maybe depending on your location? I don't recall a 6-month wait for some benefits to kick in but that rule may have been in place and I just don't remember. I've had this type of coverage for about 12 years, and it's through AARP/United Health Care.
