That too--yes, Grassman was well known!

This was another focus on MJ, shortly after Grassman. The admins here, and it must have been either Mike Weins or David Hosobuchi or both, set up a section with "Canna" in the title. It may have been set up as a blog or may have been an added forum--I don't remember. It was there for a number of years but then vanished, I guess, because I can't find it anywhere.

Yes flatcap Grassman aka Man or Mike was a friend, agate I believe it was Mike Weins, but back in the old day’s the fellow who created this board I can’t remember his name but I do remember he was into robots, I remember receiving a card from him, I had sent him a collection of live music, labeled “Live in the Twin Cities 2000. That collection was sent to quite a few members of this board, it’s a shame half my life is in storage I would love to hear it again.

Wonder if you're thinking of John Lester? He was the head honcho here when I signed on and he was here for many years after that.

Those were the days when this place was known as MGH because it had some (very loose) connection with Massachusetts General Hospital. I believe John Lester had a job working in the IT section of that hospital's neurology department, at least for a while. My memory is pretty foggy.

Hello, I always thought family was close, I have 4 sisters, as I said I always loved and still do. So talking to a younger sister who is in her 50’s, I shared what was happening with me with her she recoiled and proceeded to tell me all my problems were do to MJ, damn I hardly smoke anymore. She is a smart educated woman, her husband is going through Cancer. What the $%^&* would her opinion be caused by what she is going through? I don’t think I should have said a thing to her, just keep it bottled up and keep it to myself.

That was very unkind of your sister, seems to me. It comes under the heading of "Blaming the victim." It's the kind of thing people say when they don't want to say anything more helpful for some reason.

If her husband has cancer, it probably is a very bad time for her. It's possible she's been stretched to the limit with taking care of him and just ran out of sympathy for anyone else. She might be at the point where she's wondering how much more she can take, wondering who is going to be there for her if her husband can't be, etc., etc.

All I'm saying really is that she's probably overloaded almost to the breaking point.

I agree, that it probably was nothing more than the mood of the day. She probably is in overload, and though it wasn't very nice, I think she just is at the point that dealing with any thing is too much.

The two of you are right, and I shouldn’t be upset by what she said I do love her and should be the older brother to her and more understanding. She left yesterday and I was busy and couldn’t see her prior to leaving.

I'd be in favor of staying in touch with all your sisters if they're being decent people, and it sounds as if they are. As we get older people drop out of our lives, and there's less and less family too. We probably need to hang onto any family we have left.

Hello agate and friends, so a couple weeks ago I sent a note to my x- wife letting her know what was going on and she was going to be in the area to please join me for a coffee and talk, well a couple days ago I received a reply, and we had a coffee and talk yesterday. I have been trying to figure when I became crazy or mania from the drug. Between the 2 of us we figured a few things out. I was going manic on low dose Rebif @ 22 mgs. My X was in an accident while doing a post Doc degree, leaving her with a crushed led leg, leading to 18 screws from just below her knee to above the ankle. The University was taken to court by the ministry of work place safety Board the U was found guilty for what happened.

Looking back at my fractured memories, some memories came back, being that I was thrown into the caretaker position it really screwed me up again I was on low dose, She my X had to have regular blood work done the clinic was a block or so away from where we lived, I remember going down a side walk that was pretty rough, but I was running and pushing her in the chair and the screams and crying from her sitting in the wheelchair, I don’t think I ever helped her in the wheelchair again other then around our home. This was a terrible memory knowing what I did to her.

soul, that must have been a nightmare when you were pushing her in the chair and somehow things went wrong.

Navigating in a wheelchair or pushing someone who is in a wheelchair is pretty tricky. There must have been a lot of problems with people being pitched out of their wheelchairs, for instance. I don't know if that's what happened with you and your ex, but I've noticed that the chairs they're making now come with a built-in seat belt. The person in the chair is supposed to wear it just in case someone pushing the chair comes to very sudden stop without realizing that you'll be thrown forward. Also people with wobbly posture who are apt to lean too much one way or another are helped to stay in place by using the seatbelt.

And the instructions for the chair have a jillion warnings. One of them is never to lean over to one side or the other, as you might be tempted to do if you want to pick up something you've dropped on the floor. Wheelchairs present some tricky balancing issues. And when you're going along and suddenly bump into a rock you didn't see, you can be tossed right out of the chair.

Soul, try not to beat yourself up over what happened that day with your ex-wife.

Circumstances were not entirely under your control.

                            Hope this helps.

Sitting with her talking of the past, all be honest it brought back nice memories as well, yes it was a horror show allot of the time. But there are some good memories as well, yeah I hurt her emotionally, she basically nailed down the approximate date, in a way I knew but with her confirmation I now am sure I was going manic on low dose (IFN) @ 22 Mgs and that was I believe year 3 of the trials eventually I think I will be contacting the Chief investigator of the trials. And Flatcap I think I know that its just trying to deal with it and the complete understanding of what happened.
