It must have been quite a bonanza for them--something being found for MS at last. Since so many people with MS are found to have it early in life and then live on for decades, any medicine that has to be taken for decades is going to be profitable for the drug company, seems to me.

Tinkering around in labs as they're doing to develop these medicines is high tech and costly, I'm sure. And so any medicine that makes it to the market is going to be pricey.

Cha-ching! Put that pricey medicine together with the fact that it's probably going to have to be taken for life and the drug companies have a real winner.

We are and will be for the near future a money making machine for these companies, a question arises with me if I hadn't participated would I even be alive to speak about what I went through, should I be thankful or should I remain angry and get on with life, The flash backs alone are a disability

Since I like feeling good, I'd be all in favor of being thankful. Dwelling on what might have been seems not to lead anywhere in particular except to regrets and sadness.

But it's hard to be upbeat all the time after you've been hit hard.

To be honest what I posted here as to my experience has taken me a couple years to wrap my head around. For the last week or two I have been dealing with flash backs and depression. I just getting out of the fog of it. The last few months have been really hard. I'm starting to get my head back, it's been a hard month

Some of the drugs that do things to your nervous system can really be scary.

Some of the antipsychotic drugs can cause an irreversible condition, tardive dyskinesia, which nobody would want. I don't know if doctors are still so eagerly prescribing them but some years ago they were whipping off prescriptions for them for just about anybody who happened into their offices.
