Not too many active bird cams right now, but this one is of three ostrich eggs which are in the process of hatching right now! They even have a microphone resting on the egg that is cracked and every so often you can hear peeping!

Shaggy little critters, aren't they? Popcorn, Rascal and Skippy--I don't think I could tell them apart but I'm sure mom can.

Mom wasn't there when I checked. Anyone seen her? Maybe she has her head in the sand somewhere but I hope not.

Momma is sure not feeding those babies. they are adorable!!!

I'm guessing Momma will not be back and they will be fed by
the family who saved them? Water is already there for them
and food will come in a few days. The little girl named them.

They are still kept in a 100 degree incubator.
                    I hope they all survive.

I think the staff of wherever they're being kept are the ones feeding them. Australia?

Aha, they're in California. Didn't know they had ostriches there!

Looks like they are finally gaining weight. Popcorn is not gaining,
but at least he's not losing.

Awwwww Skippy died this morning at about 4:00am.

She was sick with a flu bug and after the Vet attended her and after
much special care from Dash (the owner), she passed. The other two
seem to be ok. I hope it wasn't contagious.

                            Fly free Skippy...

                              RIP, Skippy.

The other two are looking frisky though. Soon they might be too big for that space.

My sympathies to Dash & Family.
Praying that Popcorn and Rascal stay strong and grow.
