:) Hi everyone. I emailed Cherie but have not heard back from her. She must be busy.

My van AC has not put out cold air for about a month. With high 90's and humiture of 105 it is not comfortable at all. I took it Wednesday to my mechanic and got it back yesterday. It cost over $1300.00 Thankfully I have a credit card. It is so nice to have the AC working again.

When I got home last night from the repair shop my house was hot. I called the house AC company and left a message. Today my son's friend who works for the company I called came over at four and in about 10 minutes he had the compressor working again. He would not take any money. It is now at 74 and comfortable again. My poor old dog did a lot of panting last night. I had the ceiling fan on high but it was still over 85 in the house.

I am looking forward to a cool night and sleeping soundly. I said a lot of prayers that I would not have to replace the central air. It is over 7 years old but I hope it works a few more years.

I hope all of you are staying cool. You are all in my prayers. Jeanie :)

Renee sweety, not nice to be ill on Sunday. Isn't God supposed to
give us Sunday off? I'll be thinking about those little ABs rushing
in to sucker punch those germs. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Well since I have been absent for awhile I want to say that "rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

I am finally getting out of my last flare. One thing that improved is my pinched sciatic nerve. At least for a couple of weeks so there is a up side to the 'roids. The pain is returning. Plus the normal MS stuff. I need to schedule my colonscopy as well as getting the nerve thing fixed and my knee replaced. My daughter asked why I just didn't do it? Answer 1.) I have to do all of them as an inpatient. Due to problems in the past 2.) It cost a small fortune. 3.) And this is most important..... it hurts and I am against anything that causes me pain!!

No real excuses for not checking in. I do lurk and read most of the posts and I do read Facebook. My daughter got a new house new to them it was built in 1918 which in the west qualifies as REALLY old. I went over with my commercial painting equipment and shot their whole house. As I use the Navy method (if it moves salute it, if it doesnt move paint it) so the kids taped all the windows doors etc. SIL asked why and was told dad gets paint everywhere, there IS a reason that I can paint a 2000 sq ft house in 3 hours! They still live out in the country and it has an old tie up barn and I offered to get a herd of milk cows for them but no one seemed interested.

Renee get better! Sally are YOU behaving?

                    I lost a month

:) I posted on the August chit chat not realizing we are in September now. I hope my memory and awareness improves as it makes me feel really ancient to make mistakes like this.

Gary I'm glad you checked in and you put it in the right month! Jeanie :)

You people are so funny and not alone.
I'm getting the month right but days are blurred from illness.
My clocks are set to run an hour wrong one way or another.
Only my cell phone and my laptop know for sure.

I'll keep praying for divine intervention for all.

A comedian??? Now who would pay money to watch a fat old former farmer with gray hair stumble out on the stage and forget what he was supposed to say?

The Eagle landed today (s.s. pension) so I am paying the bills. We are safe for another month. I am still battling the insurance as Monday was the one year anniversary of our fire. I would be happy to post pictures if someone would explain how. I know folks have told me how before but MS and........... what was I talking about?

The neighbor is combining beans off the front field we had our first rain since June the DAY AFTER he wind rowed them so the turned them over to try to dry them....... I am glad that it was not my combine that he was using I have never seen so much dirt fly up. This field is literally 20 feet from my front door and I could not see the equipment for all the dust. I am thinking about taking 20 acres and planting soybeans. The extension agent says that they should (yeah, SHOULD?!?) do well here just no one plants them. I am working out a new feed program for dairy goats and want some that I can harvest at different times to see how it effects milk production. I have a small fortune tied up in equipment that sits idle and it would bring about $15 a ton for scrap unless you needed something then the sky is the limit.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times when we first started farming, broke and in debt (well somethings never change, anyway) stopping at some elderly farmer and offering to buy a disk or plow that was rusty and lashed to the ground with bindweed. The answer always was and is, "Oh we cant sell that, we might need it next spring". Oh oh now I am that old guy!

The irrigation companies that supply or water have shut down for the year, not enough reserve left. As there is still lots of corn and sugar beets that are not ready I dont know what they are going to do. Our farm pumps water directly from the Snake River so it never effects us. Water rights are a big deal here people have died defending them.

It is suppose to be in the low 90's today and then cool down to the 80's I am ready for fall temps. I don't need a repeat of last winters sub zero temps but cooler weather would be nice.

                            Be healthy everyone,

Gary, if you can make pics not so BIG, e-mail them to me
and I will try to transfer them here. It was easier with my
old PC. My MAC is persnickaty.
