    Remembering

I sure miss the fun we used to have here, especially the weekends. OLD members will remember, and yeah, I'm old, but I still like to have fun. 15 years of MS, but who I am, and what the weekends were here in the past has really changed.

I've tried to stir up some fun, but I give up. I'm just going to read from now on like the oldies like me do, and I know you do.

Sorry if I disturbed anyone, go back to sleep.

I think JL and some of his strict rules here took away a lot of people
and thus, a lot of the fun. This place has just become to docile. LOL!

Gary is right. You can only do so much with Facebook and Twitter and such anyway. A few discriminating people realize that if they want an actual discussion, those social media sites aren't the way to go.

Here we discuss things. Owls, for instance. Or the strange genetic composition of some of us here--we seem to be made differently from other people. Some of us look like sponges, for no known reason but the researchers are working on it night and day.

And after all it is both Easter and Passover. People might not want to think about MS every weekend. It isn't such a cheerful topic when you think about it.
        SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

There is the old debate of what kind of forum is this: serious or fun? Yes, the purpose here is to exchange information and support each other. But that can make for dull reading. So people check in less often unless they have a problem. So the problem becomes how to bring in people who might have the "answer".

We need the "fun" so people come to see what people are up to. While they are here they are drawn in to help -- either with a direction to go or a word of encouragement.
I say Bring in the clowns.

Thank you, Howie, for trying. Don't give up. We miss you when you're gone.

Howie, don't make me beat you.

Have a waffle, with maple syrup.
No fat bacon, OJ and designer coffee.
            Feel better?

            Good.
            Nap time.

              Guilt trip

I didn't realize I was that boring but I guess I must be if I'm chasing Howie away.

Yes, some heavy-handed moderation chased many of us away. And the fuss about "off topic" posts sent even others away. I post only occasionally and try my best to be "non-controversial".

So true. I was one of the proponents of OT stuff. I know I have MS and don't needed to be reminded of it all the time. I would rather laugh than cry. And I am, by nature not a real controversial person to begin with. I am a lover not a fighter. That noise you just heard was my wife groaning and rolling her eyes.

Howie, you cant back off. How am I supposed to keep these girls in line by myself? I don't have anywhere near enough cabanna boy outfits.

And if anyone needs to know anything just ask........my wife informed me that I am a smart @$$ and a know-it-all.
