Not worth it! Hurrying is almost never worth it.

That's where other people often do more harm than good. If someone wants you to hurry up, you can sense it even if they're being polite and not saying anything like, "Can't you move any faster?"

They don't need to tap their feet or drum their fingers on a counter. Maybe they just breathe differently. You just know they'd really appreciate it if you didn't take so long.

We really have to rethink every little move we make.

Thanks, Peg. I've had several fractures already and am really trying hard not to rack up any more of them in my medical record.

Because this was such a long-lasting near-fall, I had time to think about it, and every time I seemed to be hurtling down to the ground I kept hoping that all I'd get out of it would be some bruises and aches, without any of the more dramatic stuff like broken bones.

Finally reaching the wall and realizing I hadn't hit the ground this time was like a reprieve.

We do! And I tend to forget that. And there are consequences when I do. Feeling so very much better in day 4 of antibiotics. Hip pain is less. Body aches are less. fevers are gone. Vision is clearing. Tooth pain is gone!

:) Hi everyone. Cherie glad you are better.

Walgreen's would not refill my Fentanyl pain patches without a new RX since the nurse had put 2 on the same script. I started out to the doctor's office and my van overheated. I was only a few blocks from my mechanic so I had my son call my mechanic and see if he would come rescue me. He did and added over 5 quarts of water to the radiator.

I followed him back to his shop and I need several hoses replaced and the radiator flushed, the water was rusty. I called the doctor's office and they are only open half a day tomorrow. I am to add water before starting the van and go to the mechanic. I may not get out of there by noon. I will have to call and see if they have hours on Friday. I put my last patch on tonight and it should be replaced Friday night. I cannot imagine not having it as I still have pretty bad pain with the patch on.

I am praying it will go away soon but it has not even diminished any since 4/1. My DIL, Jamie is getting out of the hospital today and going to her Mother's. She still has staples and a nurse will come every day. Andy and Jamie's AC went out and the AC man is to come on Thursday morning.

I guess because of the pain, but I have very little patience right now. Every new problem seems huge. Please say a prayer for me. Thanks, Jeanie :)

I just don't know how you do it Jeanie. We're to old for this stuff.

Can't your Doc/Nurse call in a new script?

I think Fentenyl, as a controlled substance, cannot be called or faxed. Needs to be on special DEA script which is tracked. That does not mean someone can't pick it up and get it filled for you.

Jeanie, I know what you mean about problems seeming much larger when you are not feeling well.

Praying for you, Jeanie. Yes, pain does have a negative effect on patience. :(

I'll bet you all think I sure am up early. Nope, I didn't sleep at all last night. So I'm up, dressed, and waiting on the grocery store to open. My computer crashed a while back, and I had to have a new hard drive put in. What a pain. But I wrote all my sites down a while back, and have most of them saved...again.

I hope everyone having a tough time begin to see things getting better soon.

:) Thanks everyone. Iam getting ready to add water to my radiator. I just have to figure out something to hold the hood up long enough to do it as I cannot reach the metal prop on it.

Howie I'm glad to see you back. Jeanie :)

Well look what the cat dragged in. Good to see you, Howie.

                        Wishing you success, Jeanie.

:) Hi everyone. Just as I was getting ready to go out and prop the hood open with a flashlight and add water at 8:30 this morning, my son Andy pulled in the driveway in his company truck and he added the whole 2 liter bottle of water.

I did not go to the doctors for my RX but went straight to the mechanics. I was there until just after 4 PM. It was $976.60 for the repairs. I had to have three radiator hoses and a new radiator. Thank God for Visa. I am so relieved that it is fixed right. I hope this ramp van will last as long as I live and it is 14 years old now.

Tomorrow I will head to the doctors for sure. I am so grateful that this all happened near my mechanic and he was wiling to help me. We email and I have been praying for him and his wife as they are both fighting cancer.

I still have the pain but having my van working right is a big stress reliever. Thank you all for being here. Jeanie :)
