Yes, it's really exciting that someone here is getting a procedure that is trail-blazing. Not just "someone," either, but Peg, who's been on this board for at least 10 years. Hope this turns out to a good thing for Peg!

Sorry I have been lurking as I have felt off not really sick just not myself and the ole MS fatigue is been pretty rough the last couple of weeks.

The weather is finally starting a major cool down looking at the 10 day forecast we should not have a single day that is above 82 degrees. I have a lot of stuff that I wold like to do outside and I might be able to do a few of them.

I am also excited to hear from Peg what a great opportunity and who know? The more success I closer we could be to getting some insurance coverage for alternative treatments.

Its 7 PM and I am ready for bed! More to follow just wanted to let everyone know I am still kicking.

Thank you, Gary. I was worried. Do you or Lady or anyone have a way of checking on Howie? I imagine Peg is tired from the trip and will report in eventually.

We are going from Summer (this AM) to Fall tonight. In the low 40's tonight. I am happy. No more ocean dips but better weather for MS. Just coming off of a virus- missed PT this week and the 2 farmer's Mkts. So, I gotta get my walking in.

THE TRIP DOWN TO MIAMI WAS TO LONG, WE HAD TO STOP OFF IN NEW ORLEANS, TO GET ONE OF THE PASSENGERS OFF, THE MAN HAD A HEART ATTACK,, 2 HOURS THERE, PLUS IT HELPED 2 DOCTORS WERE ABOARD THE PLANE,, SO WE FINALLY GOT IN, AROUND 4:30 PM

MET THE 2 LADIES, WHO TOOK CARE OF US,, SOPHIA, I ADOPTED HER AS A SISTER I INFORMED HER,, SHE IS LIKE YOU AND ME,,, WENT TO THE CLINIC, EVERYONE WAS WONDERFUL. THE DOCTOR WAS A PUERTO RICAN DOCTOR,, HE WAS SO FUNNY, AND CARING,,, TREATMENT WAS 45 MINUTES LONG,,”BUT”,, A FILM CREW WANTED TO FILM THIS,, SO THEY ASKED MY PERMISSION,, I SAID GO FOR IT, IF IT HELPS OTHERS,, THEY SAID IT WILL BE ON DISCOVERY CHANNEL, OR HBO,, THEN, 4 PUERTO RICAN MED STUDENTS WANTED TO WATCH. SO I SAID, THE MORE THE MERRIER,,

This is big news. I can hardly wait for her to give us the day to day changes. Hope they are many and all for the good:)

I think we are all impatient about this procedure. But guess we are not as impatient as Peg, so we will just wait and see.

OK Howie, enough of this not reporting in. Just let us know you are alright. Someone needs to be able to check on you. We get real worried on here.

Well, back to my cat story. I didn't quite tell all of it. He sharpens his claws like crazy on the edge of doors. I don't think anyone could change this with him at this stage. He also bites and will scratch. Now that makes him sound real bad, but from the time he was little on up until everyone had to leave work, the people there just picked at him constantly. They played with him and picked at him all the time. When he was on my desk I told them he was off limits just to give him a rest, but still they would come in my office and pick at him. One day I was just walking down the hall and all of a sudden he ran up from behind and tried to nip at my heels like he was going to attack me. I reminded him who gave him his special treats that he loved so much. On the other hand he would also get up on the desk and come over and start trying to kiss me in the face. I was always afraid he was going to bite my face. He really did have a personality that was not predictable. I don't think my townehouse is quite the place for this cat. It isn't that everything is grand, but I have no plans to replace my furniture - ever!

If I could just figure out how to walk a dog I would get a small one, but after giving it much thought I am afraid it would not even be fair to the dog because I feel bad a lot now and would not be able to do much with it. Also, there is no one to take over for me if I get so sick that I could not care for a pet, and that would absolutely kill me. So it seems that things are what they are and not much I can do about it. Now if Peg's procedure is close to a cure that might be a different thing.

Gabriella, hope you are soon feeling better.

Virginia, I love that spunky cat. Would it work if you had his nails trimmed every 4-6 weeks at the vets or groomers? A pet does wonderful things to the mood:) What's this guy's name anyway? I am sorry to hear that you "feel bad a lot now." Maybe the weather change will help.

hi Ann, I will have to relay what you just said about having Max's nails clipped every 4 to 6 weeks, to those who know him. All the men use to argue over who was going to get the task of putting him in his cage and taking him to the vet. I remember one time when he had to have shots - one of the guys came back and said "never again". Then another time another young man took him and had to hold him for the vet - the nurse couldn't do it.

We have Max stories we could tell forever, but he was only like that because they made him that way. When he wanted to be loving he would get on my desk and come over to me and start rubbing all against my blouse, and sniffing my hair and around my face. We had lots of fun with him, but he should could turn on a dime when it came to his moods.

Well...I have Howie's phone number but he did not answer when I called. It rang 15x and there was no VM so maybe the ringer is off and he is sleeping. Or maybe he's taking advantage of this gorgeous early fall day and mowing the lawn. I'll try again later if he does not check in.

Hot and humid here yesterday (mid 80 and VERY heavy air). Then around 7PM the temp dropped to 70 and by 9:30 it was 52, windy and raining. This morning is sunny, blue skies, low humidity, light breeze, 61 degrees and a day to really enjoy. Have the plants moved in and watered and the dead leaves removed. I'm dusting. Getting out the heavier blankets and a few sweaters for now. I just love this time of year.

I had a message from Howie. He's having trouble getting in even though for a while there he was able to. Maybe it's the MSNTV he has. Sending an e-mail to btsysop@gmail.com might help. That was my suggestion, anyway.

It was a very cold morning here, Cherie. I couldn't even have coffee on the patio w a jacket on. It was in the 50's. And just think, that would be a dream of a high in March:)
