TC likely has a form of leukemia. More tests needed, but prognosis not good. His age and extent of disease working against him. Have to process this. More later, maybe. Cat

What upsetting news, Cat, I'm so sorry.
Treatments for leukemia have come a looong way. As Howie said, it's possible to successfully treat it. TC is strong, he's not a TC because he rolls over and succumbs, he's a Tom Cat because he's a fighter and won't back down.
I understand how devastating the news must have been though, you've been thru so much already. Sending you healing wishes and much strength as you face this new challenge together. We're all supporting you thru this new phase!

Vicky, you might want to start with the Patriots' players and their coach in your investigation.
Let the NFL know if you figure it out, they don't seem to be so anxious to answer this question before the Superbowl in the event that the Patriots don't actually deserve to play in the big game and it creates a lot more complications for them.

:) Hi everyone. Cat I'm saying extra prayers for you and TC. Many people live well with Leukemia as others have said. I pray TC's is easily put under control.
I had never heard of Spongebob either until it started being in the Chit Chat thread. I still know nothing other than what he looks like. Jeanie :)

Well I guess the fighting is over and I can come off of being grounded. Sorry this place means a lot to me and well......... you know.
I am sending this from an emergency hospital stay. 2 weeks ago I scratched my finger and Tuesday this week it started to swell a bit then it go huge and so they tried oral AB no go. I am npo tonight prepping for probable surgery in the morning to clean and drain it or well you can guess what happens if it doesn't get cleaned I tell acute cellulitis hurts. I have had every antibiotic known to man and can watch the swelling move up my arm.
Anyway I will post in a few days.

Yikes! Is cellulitis contagious over the internet!?! This is too many here with cellulitis or possible cellulitis!
Gary, I hope those antibiotics kick in quickly and they can get this under control. Hopefully your BP has not escalated during this ordeal.
Please keep us updated, let us know how you're doing, I hope surgery to clean it goes well. What did you scratch your finger on?

Here's hoping they find the right antibiotic cocktail for you.
I never even heard the word cellulitis until two years ago when my husband suddenly ended up in critical shape with his foot. The wound clinic worked with six doctors and six surgeries but they saved his foot and two other (young) farmers kept us going that season. I am so sorry about your pain.Linda~~~~
