Thanks for the updated info. Mine hasn't arrived yet but when it does I'll put it aside for now. I was hoping I could just pop it as a daily pill but that doesn't seem advisable.

Making note to self....Never order Cinnamon flavored EC juice!!!!Originally posted by BBS1951 View PostUPDATE
I saw my neuro today who read the abstract of the study. When he searched for it online, up popped this research:

This research found that Cinnamon Ceylon was the most cytotoxic of 36 products tested that are part of electronic cigarette refills. Therefore, my doc recommended not daily dosing until the MS researchers got further along in their clinical trials studies.
He did add he saw no problem Sprinkling it on breakfast, but of course that would not be the equivalent of the mouse
No doubt, the tobacco companies are most like, secretly funding
these studies..LOL.
I welcome the studies. I want to make sure that ECs are safe, too.Last edited by SalpalSally; 01-16-2015, 04:19 PM.Love, Sally

I wonder if the EC cytoxocity results were from a different part of the Ceylon cinnamon tree used, or due to its developmental process or perhaps the creation of vapor?
This meta-analysis of ceylon cinnamon (CZ) found it to be cytotoxic to cancer cell lines, but overall, CZ has demonstrated some pretty impressive health benefits in a wide variety of areas in the studies reviewed:

...The extract also promotes complete disassembly of recombinant tau filaments and cause substantial alteration of the morphology of paired-helical filaments isolated from brains of those with Alzheimer’s disease, however it was not deleterious to the normal cellular function of tau....suggests that CZ extracts might be useful in anti-aging treatment of skin......finding raises prospects for the development of a novel approach in the treatment of osteopenic diseases......CZ extracts at 100 and 200 mg/kg doses significantly reduced the extent of the diarrhoea (71.7% and 80.4%) in test animals...CZ induced a dose-dependent analgesic protective effect against both thermal stimuli and the writhing syndrome, furthermore, CZ showed an anti-inflammatory effect against chronic inflammation induced by cotton pellet granuloma indicating anti-proliferative effect [73]. These effects have been verified by other authors [74]. CZ is also known to have wound healing properties...CZ has also been shown to have hepato-protective effects in a study where liver injury was induced...CZ treatment resulted in 35-85% growth inhibition of the majority of the cancerous cells.

This is interesting. I too wondered if it had to do with using an extract, rather than eating the cinnamon itself. My huge bag of Ceylon cinnamon arrived yesterday. I think I will put some in my hot milk this evening. I am curious about it's flavor, it is supposed to be different from cassia cinnamon which one gets in supermarkets.it's supposed to have a citrus flavor to it
Yes, cassia is much cheaper than Ceylon
Edited to add: I just tried it-- it's delicious, much better than cassia. It has a citrus odor and flavor. Wow!Last edited by Sunshine; 01-17-2015, 02:31 PM.

Sounds like you're going in the right direction, whatever the reason! I, too, have been feeling healthier, more energy, better sleep, less pain, feeling stronger. But I also changed some other things around the same time, so who knows...time will hopefully tell.
It's not the most difficult thing I've ever tried, that's for sure!

If a person is using e-cigarettes, they may have bigger problems...looks like the vapour compromises the immune system:Originally posted by SalpalSally View PostMaking note to self....Never order Cinnamon flavored EC juice!!!!
