Howie, I was on Car Talk in february '94 !!! such a brutal winter.

Omg, it was like talking to four Marx brothers- they were wild.
When the show was aired it was edited from 7 minutes to half
    that time time.
They laughed at me, my car, where I lived and then predicted the death
of my car's engine block- which is not why I called.

    Taped the show.
I sounded like a dingbat chick, pre-valley girl.

Boy, I heard about that for months.
A woman I knew from here who had moved to AZ heard it while working
    in her jewelers studio.

3.5 minutes of fame and frolic. 8>)

renee, it sounds to me as if the show's producers selectively edited your phone call in a very unfair way. That's just plain wrong!
