I heard Santa Claus died. I'll sure miss him.

        Hello!!!

So very pleased this afternoon to stumble in and see soooo many familiar friends from so long ago.
I've always been so grateful to this close knit community and the people I met here.
I've sincerely regretted not staying in touch.
I was 27 or so years young and experiencing Neurological symptoms that closely related MS. At 29 I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia ( bilaterally ) This community was a life line to me when I felt very alone. I was and remain undx with MS, I still to this day have some of my initial sx like hand tremors, leg spasms/weakness and TN.

My TN went into remission and I was able to work part-time with a Canadian Airline and focus on my young family.
I'm now 44 years young :) and have been on disability for the last 5 years unable to continue working as my TN progressed and worsened and became med resistant. I had brain surgery in 2013 which gave me a 4 month reprieve from the pain until it worsened again. I've been homebound for 5 years now.

I googled the group today, because my husband's cousin was recently diagnosed with RRMS and I wondered if this group was still active so I could send him here.
I'm anxious to hear how everyone is!! Just reading through this old thread and I'm glad to see Howie, you haven't changed !! I remember sponge bob and cars and many laughs!
So good to "see" you all and read the familiar names of that time back in the late 90's
        BIG (((( hugs ))))

Hi Mimi! So glad you came by and wrote a note!

Sorry to hear about your TN saga. Fortunately mine is controlled on 3 daily meds.

          It's great that you haven't been dx'd w MS.

Pull up a chair and join in any time you care to.

It's Mimi Fraser! How nice that you've reappeared!

It was a lively place when you were here, and you helped to keep it that way. I'm so sorry you had to have brain surgery and still have TN.

You're still among friends here, I feel sure. We look forward to welcoming your husband's cousin too.

Hi Mimi, glad you stopped by to say hello. Hope you will do it more often. Sorry about your brain surgery that apparently did not work.

Hope you will get your husband's cousin to come see us. Even though we are not quite as active as we use to be we still have a wealth of information on this forum and the ones who stay are now family. So hope both of you will come be a part of this family.

Hi Anne, Agate, Jeanie & Virginia!
So nice to re-connect , still trying to figure out this "new to me" format of the forum.
Thanks for the warm welcome ! I feel like the long lost cousin returning Home... I'll most definitely check in more frequently and will spend some time reading and " catching up " with you all.
I remember so many laughs, some tears, some drama but am so glad to see the family atmosphere has remained ! Ahhh, the good old days.

                  ❤️

Mimi, you had better come back, or I'll start crying. And you know what happens when sponges cry. They swell up and....well, I can't even talk about it. Sniff....stick around...please?

Hi, Mimi! It's confusing even to me, sometimes, but I wanted you to know that cat dancer and uppitycats is one in the same person, just that I'm logging in on different devices. I'm sorry you're still dealing with TN to the point that it is disabling. Do drop in more often!

Hi Mimi. I remember your name. Welcome back. I believe the forum had gone through more than one format change since you were here last.

Hi Mimi, long time no see, I'm sorry to hear that TN is still bothering you.

I don't always have a consistent internet connection, so sometimes I'm away from the forum for longer stretches than intended. This might change for the good in the next few weeks.
