Looks like it snowed overnight. These eagle are hardy. No flying south for them!

Babies sure getting big and changing color from big grey fur fluffballs. Parents don't seem to mind leaving them alone for longer periods now.

The big one tries to peck him away, but it's not working any more. LOL!

I agree. The "eagle temperament" develops early!

I'm so glad too to see the smaller one getting its fair share now. It really is neat to watch. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to glimpse this part of our animal kingdom, from the adorable albatross to eagles to owls. They are all probably thinking that we humans are a bit nuts to be voyeurs of all of their nesting behavior.

Here's a heron cam with tons of nests all close together. Guess there's not the same concerns as with eagles who only have a single nest per tree. Herons seem to feel safer in numbers.

Sal, that first link is to some sort of owl, a really cute, pretty thing!. She is sitting on three eggs, I saw them yesterday while she was out. Her nest box sure looks cleaner than what the other owl boxes look. She's sitting in some fluffy soft looking material rather than on gross looking stuff like the other owl sites I've watched in the past, at least for now! Up in the left hand corner of the live pic there are two tabs you can click - one shows the inside nest box view and cam 2 shows the outside of the box.
Wish I could read the language so I read when the eggs were laid and when the expected hatch is. Agate . . . translate?

Two storks standing in their nest now. Smoke from nearby chimneys drifting by them. Poor storks probably have lung disease from all that smoke!

Joan/nuthatch, though I don't know Dutch I did get a computer-aided translation of the page. The first egg appeared on 2/27, the second on 2/29, and the third on 3/4. There may be a 4th egg coming along.

I'm not sure when they're expected to hatch. Looks as if the people discussing it don't know.

This is a tawny owl, and it's mostly feathers, very little actual bird.

                                Thanks Vicky. I'm just extra lazy today . . . er . . . always.

Is this a different eagle cam or one someone has already posted?
