I'll second that about the bottle. I find many bottles almost impossible to open. I refuse to take the blame for all of these hard-to-open bottles. It's these ingenious people who dream up new designs for extra-hard-to-open bottles, jars, packages, you name it.Originally posted by SalpalSally View PostJust watching my eagles who ar still sticking close and yet way high up in the

I've in a funk yesterday and today about how everything Is so hard now on my
own at the NH. I'm feeling so helpless and alone. I want my life back. Don't
we all?
Even opening a bottle of something to use is almost impossible. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
Sally, is there any chance you can go back to your home? Wasn't it a place where you'd lived for years? There was a discussion about consulting an ombudsman there at the nursing home, or a social worker, someone who could help coordinate a move back home. Did anything come of that?SPMS diagnosed 1980. I got a rubber thingy from the hospital, you know, the strap thing they tie around your arm when they want to start an IV or take blood?
Those things are made from excellent material that, when wrapped around a jar lid or bottle, makes opening them super easy. The strap grips a lid like you wouldn't believe.
Might be one around there somewhere, these days, they discard them after use for sanitary reasons, so you can just keep one if you're going for a blood draw or something.

Looks like there's 5 kiddos hatched now! (Plus a big meal sitting nearby) Vicky, I think that other one was a weasel or something larger. This one has a thinner tail and there's no question it's a rat. The other one looked furrier too, I thought.

I was reading one of the proprietor's info posts. It says that generally speaking, not all chicks live most often, and that it takes a LOT of food to keep them growing.
So, we should be thankful that the parents are bringing back a lot to feed their growing brood.
And I agree, don't look too closely!
ETA: #6 hatched too! We have a (very) full house now!Last edited by SuzE-Q; 05-04-2016, 12:53 PM.

Lol, maybe the eagle picked the fish up before the fisherman could reel it in!
