Yes, I have had a few of these episodes where just briefly I would have to think about how was the best way to get home. I thought maybe it was because I don't get out nearly as much, and construction around here is unbelievable. I know it is everywhere, but this is one of the very largest growing areas. We have what is known as the "Research Triangle Park" which employs countless of thousands high tech jobs. So it keeps this area growing and changing.
However, it does feel frightening the few times this has happened to me.Virginia

I 'lose my way' all the time, but it's something I've learned to live with: It doesn't last very long in my case, and it always goes away, then I become reoriented; I also stick pretty close to home.
And, like most things, I've chosen not to medicate it. In fact, I've never seriously considered asking about it.
In my experience, the usual reaction — assuming you get one — is over-medication (long-term or short-); there just isn't time in a typical office visit for sufficiently in-depth discussion to prevent it.

If I went down that road every time I had an MS flair/attack/symptom, I'd probably be on so many drugs I'd make a certain, 'presumptuous' presidential candidate look like a piker.
