I don't remember if mine had a detachable collar or not, but that is the best place to apply cold to make you feel cooler.

:) Motorcycle shops carry neck scarves that you soak in ice water and they have gell inside and it holds the cold for quite awhile. When it does not feel cold you just turn it over and the other side is cold. I got it when I was riding my Harley tryke.
I had the vest but it was too heavy. The scarf is great. Jeanie :)

Maybe having a conversation about higher mathematics in Russian. That's pretty daredevil! And who knows what else. Maybe the conversation is on a wing of a bi-plane.

The humidity is 66 here today. I feel like I can't move. I wonder if they have studied heat w/o humidity and humidity w/o heat. I think, for me, humidity might be worse. Together they flatten me as in, I need to get flat in an airconditioned room.

I try opening windows whenever I can get away with it if I'm in a stifling hot place. One problem with that strategy is that on vans the windows aren't always so easy to open. Even hot air blowing in can be better than bottled-up stagnant air. It's generally worth a try.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Ha, I doubt that I'd be having a conversation about higher mathematics in Russian. I just translated stuff. Okay, now you have me looking at the weather.com site, checking temps and humidity levels around the country. 96 degrees, slightly cloudy with 18 percent humidity here today. Looks much cooler elsewhere, but with much higher humidity! My nephew lives in Cary, NC and it's only 72, but with 90% humidity. That sounds like breathing underwater to me!

I was born at the end of July in a hospital with no a/c. I can tolerate the temps in MA fairly well, probably because of that.
I still want the a/c though or I wouldn't be able to spend late summer in the house.
