Cat, I thought you were talking about a Prairie, which is a scooter type vehicle. DOH!!!

I crashed my computer about 3 hours ago, and JUST got it back. Everything is there, even 2 things that never worked. Sounds for when I get online, and go offline. Maybe I should crash it again, and who knows what cool stuff might come back!

Agate, that makes two of us. We move at about the same speed.

It was a POP-UP about making my Windows get all the features Windows is supposed to have. But wasn't from Microsoft which should have rung a bell in my head, but NOOOOOOOO, I just clicked to run it. Bad move, but I'm so thankful I got everything back!

Where else could you find someone who thinks mainly in car language?

This place is much more interesting than whole boatloads of Republicans convening in Cleveland!

If someone talks to Howie about sobs, he thinks they meant a Saab car.

Say Howdy to him, and he thinks you've said Audi.

Never heard of prairie the vehicle. All my prairie needs is a buffalo, then I could ride it and get around. Like peg on her horse, only bigger. Or maybe not.....

I STILL got it wrong! I put "Prairie scooters" in my search box. I get a site that had scooters of all kinds. Well, it turns out the scooter store is in Prairie Texas!!!
                  Man, I scare myself sometimes!

Knowing Japanese cars, they are all still running!

Like the Germans, many large industries in Japan that made machines of war, changed to making cars after the war. Now both countries have very strong economies.

Howie, please forgive me for the remark regarding you and computers, simply because now I have a problem. I don't know what I hit but my type has become blurry and it is larger at the top of my page. It is much less sharp, so therefore I don't like it. What could I have done?

Well, the little bit of experience I've had using a computer, that doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard of before. Do you have a place that works on computers near you? I wouldn't think it's anything major. Wish I could offer help.

Virginia, are you running Windows Vista?

Virginia, when I have a problem like the one you're describing, I go into Display and tinker with the settings. But I have an older computer, and the names for the settings and the way to get to them may be entirely different.

For me, it's Start--->Control Panel--->Display--->Appearance (or Settings) and then it often turns out that a change in Screen Resolution or Font Size fixes the problem.

Or if you have a Zoom feature, you might find that you have it magnified much more than you need.

Another way to go is to tinker with the monitor settings.

But again I'm talking about an older desktop PC, and you may be talking about something entirely different.
