Can you call them and stress how essential it is that they come?Originally posted by Lazarus View PostNot a flake. I am very stressed since the guy who has been plowing for us has given up his plow truck. John is not well enough to use our plow. I made contact with a company that promised they would plow us but I am so scared. We need to have pathways to the greenhouses plowed so I can get there....and the guys I hired have not come to survey the farm and see the paths that need plowing. I am so tired of being worried about somethin every second of every day.
I am sure it will all work out. Or not. It will be one or the other!
We have decided to quit our snow guy. He raised his pricing to $59 a man-hour for shoveling snow. It goes higher for wet or heavy snow.
We are going to try our luck w Plowz & Mowz and Task Rabbit.
Your situation is more serious than our sidewalks, walkways and driveway.

Plowing in this area is expensive anyway but ANN's is probably more because of their requirements. Ours isn't exactly cheap but all we need done is the driveway. And yes, even that will be high if we get the snowfall this year they're predicting.

300 steps to the pool, and swam 3/4 mile today, the most since this attack began. Used to do a mile. But the guard had to pull me to my feet today. Still could walk though so, not a bad price to pay.
Kept forgetting stuff so also did 8 flights of stairs. That's gotta build bone, no?
What type of moving did you do?

I did two flights of stairs three times. I folded and hung laundry. I stood in the kitchen and cooked and then put the kitchen right.
I went out (29 degree windchill) and got the trash barrel and lid and put them away.
Does meditation count? It's sedentary but there was 10 minutes of deep breathing.

MS sets a person back so often and in so many ways that we learn to appreciate every little achievement, like getting out of bed or getting as far as the bathroom sometimes.
I had to walk down to the mailbox several times today (not very far) because a package was delivered for me (I have no idea what it is) but I couldn't get the key to open the box. I kept going back and trying again. I was also getting a neighbor's mail, and I went into her apartment (next door) and watered her plants. A few steps were involved there. I even took the trash outside to the dumpsters. That involved carrying two bags--one for recycling, one for regular trash.
I did some ironing, and I stood for about 20 minutes doing that. I stood to fix dinner, such as it was (a fourth of a frozen pizza and some frozen vegetables).
I stood to get lunch too but that was just removing the cap from a yogurt container and extracting a few crackers from a box.
I haven't done much today at all. I made my bed. I did my exercises. I washed dishes twice. I moved a few plants around.
The pedometer says I racked up 1537 steps today. It's amazing how many steps a person takes while doing very little.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.
