Thanks BBS, I am trying to do a little housework today. But it is slow and easy. I sit and think of things I can do to keep from doing what I need to do, like right now. However, conversing with all of you is important too.

Housework has been vastly overrated. I used to try to do the 3 main jobs once a week--clean the bathroom to a fare-thee-well, mop the floors, vacuum. I tried to a do a general dusting as needed and the bigger jobs got done now and then but they did get done.
Vacuuming must be good exercise because I find that I have trouble getting around to it.
Pedometer readings over the last week: 2025, 1819, 1804, 2119, 1110, 998, 1698.
A light went on about housework about a year or two ago. I realized I was being ridiculously rigid about this once-a-week idea. So now I do those 3 jobs when I feel like it or when I notice that they need doing. It's easy enough to tell. The floors get to looking a bit spotty, and when I start sneezing more than usual, it's time to vacuum. I have no idea how often I'm doing these jobs now. I spot-clean parts of the bathroom as the need arises. If the mirrors look bad, I do them.
I'm happier with this way of doing things. I do have to be careful to keep an eye on the place and not let it get too bad.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

I skipped swimming today to let my legs settle down. I hope to swim tomorrow before work, if lucky.
Today I climbed 5 staircases.( My home is multi story for now. We hope to sell it and build a single story handicap friendly home. That could take time.)
I also drove 80 miles. And walked inside Fresh Market to pick up yogurt.
That's the extent of my moving and stretching around today.
The hardest part of this attack is missing out on swimming, and having to plot out every bit of moving. But I know I am lucky that for the first 18 years of this disease the problems were not so overwhelming.
TOMORROW IS NOV 30. IS THERE INTEREST IN HAVING ME START A DEC THREAD?

Yes, we need to keep up with you, and just look at Agate's pedometer readings. She was really up there some days.
Agate, I like the routine you have worked out for cleaning. I just need to be more laid back about these things. I did get the bed linens washed and changed and dusted today. I also washed the towels, but still have to fold them. Tomorrow I will (hopefully) get around to mopping the kitchen and two baths on main floor and also vacuuming. I also cleaned the master bath today. In addition, I did quite a bit of sitting with TV on news. I have not read any yet today. I need to get back to my book that I am halfway through. I love to listen to my music a little later at night.Virginia

I'd say there's a substantial interest in a December exercise and stretch thread. Maybe some who don't exercise will be inspired to do a few stretches they weren't doing before. Maybe those of us who have to remind ourselves to exercise will be more motivated.
I'm afraid that "use it or lose it" has a lot of truth to it.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

BBS, great going!
I mopped the two bathrooms, the kitchen and vacuumed. I also washed two loads of clothes. That is going to be it for today for me.
Cat, do you feel you are making progress with your routine? Even if it is very slow, it is something. You have very strong arms which is certainly a plus.Virginia
