And you can take care of your cats if you just have a cast on. It might be slower as you hobble around, maybe on crutches, for 6 weeks or more but you'll be healing. A few trips back to have Xrays, maybe a revised version of the cast, and some PT maybe after that, and you're almost as good as new.
Why not admit you could use this bit of help that is available to you and get yourself to a doctor who can help? What about the doctor whose appointment you didn't get to? If you can get through to that office and a live person, why not explain your situation?
If transportation is a problem, mention that. They might have some suggestions. And I'm betting that your sister or brother might be more than willing to run you over to the doctor or the ER. You'll have an Xray and diagnose you and outline a treatment plan.Last edited by agate; 01-12-2017, 07:34 AM.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Okay everyone, let's put this to rest. I only mentioned it here because I share everything here. I NEED everyone here. But I will not do anything anyone suggested here. For someone else, they would be great suggestions.
But not for me. I accept whatever the outcome is, from me not seeking medical attention. I have a doctor's appointment on the 27th, and I will tell him then, but I have a feeling it will be healed by then.
I do appreciate the good suggestions made, they show me you care. But I won't do any of them, NOT because I don't care about you guys. I care very much for each of you.
But won't take any suggestions, because that is how I am.
I hope everyone understands."Given the millions of billions of Earth-like planets, life elsewhere in the Universe without a doubt, does exist."

Thanks for putting us in our place, which is out of the picture.
I'm not being sarcastic but perfectly serious when I say we really don't know anything much, and those cats probably know far more about taking care of you than we do.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

I'm sure of that. Both cats have started wearing their little nurse uniforms and look so cute. They make sure I eat well, and even take my temperature. I just wish they would get oral thermometers.

Thanks Peg. It is getting better, the swelling was terrible last night and this morning, but has gone down some. I would get you to make some healing food, and send Sam to get it, but we all know how that story ends. Darn cat!

You mean it's supposed to have chicken in it? I thought it looked a little watery!
A serious observation.....We aren't going to have a Winter this year, are we? I keep waiting on the big Winter storm front to move in, and 50's seems to be it for the next 10 days.
I like Winter weather.

You're welcome to it. I'm always glad when I don't have to try to walk in snow. I wish it could be at least 70 all year long.Originally posted by Howie View PostA serious observation.....We aren't going to have a Winter this year, are we? Well, 70 year round I could get used to. And somewhere on this Earth, there is such a place. The cats and I have our bags packed, you just tell me where!
Snow, I love the beauty of fresh fallen snow. Then humans get out their machines, plows, and salt trucks, and in no time, it's ugly and you just want it to melt!
