    I FOUND IT!!!

July 10, 1998 MRI of brain and orbits.

Howard’s brain is good, it’s real good. And much bigger than most brains I’ve seen. Those many white spots are nothing to worry about. He has enough brain left that he won’t even notice.

If ever his MRI report gets lost, I would take a second look at that Agate person. She is incredibly jealous of Howard’s big brain, and could even hide his MRI in the future so no one can see it.

    Signed,
    Dr. Peabody

Unless you had a scanner and could scan it, then transfer it. You could always send it to me, and I'd
scan it and copy it here. It's not hard to do but you'd have to part with it long enough to send it to me and give the mail time to return it to you.

It might be easier to wait for that boring day and just type it.

        Oops, Dr. Peabody hasn't been board-certified. He's only board-eligible.

Doesn't count. Dr. Peabody is a well-known quack.

Ha! It sounds like the medical report DT released during the primaries! You know, the one the doc said he would be the healthiest president ever? And people voted for this carnival side show!

Yes, DH is coming tomorrow too. Both docs are at their secondary office, a million miles away, so it's too far for my legs to drive anyway. DH is very smart medically, and a nice guy too.

The IVIG has helped. Yesterday I noticed that my shins have barely any neuropathy and I can tap my feet again. Maybe the attack is starting tomecede.

The cough is chronic past two years, IVIG helped it a lot. Recently, my lungs have subtle hurt feelings occasionally while breathing and doc wants to rule out pneumothorax or other bad stuff. Likely will be okay.

Doc just called re chest X-ray. It shows a small infiltrate in middle lobe. Rec repeat X-ray in 3-4 weeks to see if resolves. Doc thinks it will resolve, not cancer, not a sarcoidosis lesion, not a pneumothorax, ...when asked , doc said it likely correlates to my recent breathing problems.

Circular saw the doctor coming, and ran the other direction.

Saw neuro today. He is a keeper. He is smart, experienced, respectful, good observer and open to ideas.

He said that I do indeed have MS.
He said that he thinks also have SPS. He has seen 5 SPS patients in 30 years.
He said the treatments are very similar for MS and SPS.
He is doubtful, but is open to the idea that it could be Lab error, or skewed by my last IVIG.
He agrees to retest in about six weeks.

He is increasing my IVIG dose as it seems to help, and might help more at new dose. There is plenty of latitude to increase.

DH drove me, it's too far for me to drive with these legs. He was in exam room with me too.

Sounds like a good neuro. I like a doctor who is open to the thought that there might be an error. A number of doctors are so sure they're right from the get-go that there's no debating it with them. How can anyone be that sure?

BBS, this doctor does sound like a good one. I agree with Agate on what she said about him.

Yes, he has been this open minded and locgicsl the whole 18 years I have worked with him. I think this recent deterioratiin has caught him by surprise as much as me.
