Yeeeeee Haw! It sounds like a real hoedown! If you have any food left over, just give it to Sam (the cat) and tell her to get straight home with it!

I thought I would stay up and watch Sea Hunt tonight. So Sam (the Skin diving cat) and I, are going to watch the back to back episodes coming on. Glub, glub!

I was just noticing all the "views" on all threads-- it's a lot! And then noticed that now, one member is on line, and 34 guests. I hadn't realized how many people come and read this board.

Peg, you're always amazing. You started an August thread for us even though you're headed for an MRI in a couple of days and it's summer weather too.

Sam has her own pool? We should all be so lucky. Even a pool with the water too warm would be better than being turned loose in the heat.

I was out in it yesterday, going to the hearing aid place (again!) where the van driver has to park a block and a half away but at least there was shade, and the 97' heat hadn't really started up yet. I got home by 1:30. Oddly enough, the hottest time of day around here is 4-6 PM.

I was afraid I'd be in for a couple of more trips to that place soon because the other aid gave out over the weekend. The trip yesterday was so I could pick up the left aid that needed repair but I had to go there with the bad news that the right one had gone as well. Luckily I had my old aids but they don't do much. I was afraid they'd say I needed new aids. It's been nearly 5 years, and they seem to expect them to give out at that point. I used the old ones for 10 years and was hoping these would do as well.

Maybe they still will. With a lot of tinkering the audiologist seems to have fixed both of them this time. I'm celebrating! No more trips that I know of for the rest of the summer!

Yes, BBS, that is always surprising to me too. For a long time I assumed that most of the "guests" were just spammers or whatever, but on second thought, there must be quite a few people who are still interested enough to come here and read.

Is it 34 guests for all of BT, or for just the MS part of BT?

Just the MS forum. I looked at a couple of the other forums, and they have their own statistics about who's online.

There have been times in the last year when there have been over 60 people online here.

I don't check those figures very often but I did notice that there are almost always at least 30 guests.

I think Sam's bite would be a lot scarier.

                        Look at dem choppers!

Let me ask, does anyone sign in and out when you come here? I don't. I just come here, and if nothing is going on, just put the pointer in the X that drops down on the upper right corner, and I'm gone.

Is that how you guys do it?

5:00 and it's 106 . . . ugh . . . there are magpies that are just hanging out in the shade on my front patio and some in the shade under the parked cars. The poor birds are so hot they all have their mouths open, even the hummingbirds!

Seems there is always something to worry about these days. Aside from the world affairs and the political mess that gets crazier daily, now there is a forest fire threatening the little mountain town where my daughter lives and works. It appears there has been an arsonist at work. Stress!!!

nuthatch, I hope your daughter will be OK--and her home won't be threatened.

Yes. I never log in or out unless something has logged me out for some reason.

I was just trying to account for all the "visitors" we have. Of course Sam looks in here all day long. Maybe she's the cause!
