I watched it and loved what they did. Even NBC gets praise from me. Going live in our ever more plastic world! And getting such a cast of stars to be able to organize schedules too rehearse and even perform! What voices..what performances!

Music always makes me full of wonder at the abilities, the goodness and the talents of humankind. Especially now.

Agate, I found it and before I scrolled down to the clues. I looked for quite awhile but did not look at the clues. All of a sudden there it was.

Virginia, you did better than I did. I had to use the first clue.

I have a tape of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and have seen it several times. I think it's the original version--I've had it for many years.

I'm glad it's payday tomorrow, my busiest day of the month. I just ate oatmeal, and English muffins for my last meal. But all the dishes are washed, and the fridge is pretty much empty.

I wrote 2 checks for this month, and they are waiting to be mailed off when I leave in the morning. It's going to be one of those dump, bank, and store days. Everything is ready.

I also have the new stickers to put on my car tags, or I could get a ticket. I don't want one of those. I can't remember when I got one of those. Like Rainman said, "I'm a very good driver".

          Have a great evening!

Howie,You must mean your registration sticker for a year. I just got mine and have to put it on when I go out, except that the pollen is so bad here that I will have to wash the tag first.

I've got a paper towel folded up with the stickers to wipe off the spot where they go which is on top of the old sticker. But I imagine it would stick anyway. Those things are almost TOO sticky. Where you place even a tip of it, is where it will stay!

I'm back from the bank and store run. I didn't feel like taking the trash today, so I'll do it tomorrow, or.......? Sam got her turkey, and is smiling as she sits on my lap.

I forgot my sleep med, but I didn't sleep well last night even though I took my last two. I guess payday was on my mind. But I should be able to sleep without tonight, I'll see. It's not enough to make me go to the store again today.

I did go to CVS and got my meds. Once a month is nice. Well, let me finish my first cup of coffee, and relax.

                  Everyone have a great day!

The original movie "Jesus Christ Superstar" was released in 1973. I saw the stage version at a theater in Albany, NY in 1971 and was blown away by it but thought it did not go far enough to the resurrection. The movie was a better rendition because there were faces focused on that were not able to be seen from audience seating. This presentation was awesome in that presence and immediacy was there. The voices of pilot, Judas, Mary and Jesus were phenomenal. And I liked that at the end they worked with lighting to have the figure of Jesus on the cross appear to be pulling back and ascending and the cross shaped back drop narrowed with the light behind it becoming ever more intense.

I am not a fan of rock music so much of the opening and the crowd scenes were hard to sit through sound-wise but the solos were spot on and pitch perfect even with the aging Herod played by Alice Cooper. He was a pleasant surprise.

Yesterday's 4" of snow is all but gone today. While I was sitting here checking emails, I thought, "I ache! I could really use a massage." So I called and have an appointment in 45 minutes!

I saw Alice Cooper recently in a film about werewolves. He played his role well. Cooper was the first concert I saw as a kid so many years ago.

:) Probably about 30 years ago I saw Jesus Christ Superstar live locally. It was on tour and all the singers were excellent and it did not have all the rock and weird clothes this one had. Every part was geared to telling the story like the Bible tells it. I turned this one off just after John Legend said "Father into Your Hands I commend my Spirit".

Lacy is going to the vet for blood work to have her teeth cleaned later. Jeanie :)
