:) Even if it is gout you do not want that diagnosis. You will become ineligible for insurance if you have gout. Have the doctor call it arthritis. Jeanie :)

Good Morning, BT. Hi Agate, I see you are up early for the west coast.

I limited my shopping and lunch routine w MIL yesterday. Just lunch and one hugh grocery for me but there was payback in increased fatigue and the R adductor spasming again. I now live w ice to my inner R thigh. Could be worse.

ANN, I start my day at 7 or 7:30 AM every single day. It's a habit that works for me. I don't do well with changes in that routine though sometimes I sleep till 8--and then the day seems really short.

I have been staying in bed until at least 12 the past 3 days. I have a virus or something. I got sick Thursday afternoon in eye doctor's office. Was able to get through appointment and then home. My brother and his wife brought chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, crackers and vanilla ice cream yesterday. I am better today, but still do not feel well.

Agate, my toes are numb too from MS. The more I try to walk the number they become.

            Ann, rest and feel better!

              Hi, Virginia. (Waving)

I am sorry you are ill. I hope it will be brief. It's good to have family near.

Feel better soon, Virginia. How nice that your brother and his wife brought some provisions!

That's so true about how walking tends to make foot numbness worse.

Might as well crow about this here in addition to shouting it on Facebook. I'm a grandma now.

William weighed only 4.9 lbs. (3 weeks early) at birth but is home with his parents now after a week in the neonatal ICU. My son and DIL are absolutely delighted and are introducing William to the family dog and 5 cats as I understand it. William was adopted through an open adoption, and everything seems to be going along well.

ANN, I hope to meet William soon. As a newborn he may need a chance to settle in before he starts having visitors.

I tried to transfer a photo from Facebook but either that can't be done or I don't know how to do it. I'll keep working on it.

Howie, you could check with the lab about whether you need to be fasting for the blood work. My mother had gout (later it was called "gouty arthritis") and it always involved severe pain. You didn't mention pain but you did mention redness. This video probably won't solve your problem but has some interesting information in it:

:) About 40 years ago I worked for New York Life and I wrote a company plan for my neighbor who had three employees. It was turned down because on his medical record it said he had gout. I felt terrible. I found a friend who had an insurance company that would write it for him with stipulations. I lost a good commission and decided to change jobs. Jeanie :)

Agate, whenever I am supposed to have a blood panel done, they always tell me to fast, so I will this time. But thanks for reminding me.
