It seems to have just jumped straight into Summer here. It was 80 today. No wonder making pasta had me sweating! But it was soooooo good, and will feed me the rest of the month.

Better health is good, and spring is good!

Well, I looked and looked for better slippers online and finally found some. They aren't that different from what I've worn for years but they have velcro fasteners and they have real backs to them, elasticized so they don't slip off, and the soles are nonslip.

When they arrived I was really prepared to have to send them back to get a different size but they actually seem to fit. Ordering any footwear without trying it on first is taking a big chance but I'm glad I got it right the first time. Maybe now I won't have any more middle-of-the-night falls or almost-falls.

I've heard that an April blizzard is about to hit the Midwest and maybe the East as well. Hope it isn't true but it sounds as if it's already getting started. These people really believe in weather.

I think I'm too far South to get any snow from that system. Maybe rain which is fine. I don't want to see snow again this year! I lived here 10 years before I ever even saw snow.

Oh, Peg, sorry that you still can't plant (I am assuming this). Linda, I hope you are off to a good start. And I always wonder about Gary and his farm & family.

It was 73 yesterday and 60 today. Tonight it's going down to 32 and tomorrow the "high" is 34! Rain tomorrow w wind and almost all day Monday, which is a state holiday and the Boston Marathon. Dress warm, keep dry.

Tomorrow is Peter's birthday. We went out w his Mom to a fish restaurant today. We got free desserts. I had carrot cake. Peter had key lime pie. It was a hard choice.

Virginia, I hope you are feeling better.

Still blowing like crazy here -- 40 mph sustained wind, gusts up to 50; shows for awhile then delete them snow again, poor visibility. Snow is heavy, wet, 12 Inches as of yesterday, don't know what is out there this morning ...ugly weather here...

Light rain now and freezing rain predicted for tonight. 34 is the high temp for today. Ahh, New England...

We're back in a blizzard. When I woke up this morning, it was only a light snow.....and then it got thick. High wind, snow. The plow guy came through early this morning...but yo u'd not notice it now, looking out there. Tom Cat did some shoveling, but had to shove open the door to even get outside, this morning. And it's APRIL!!!! If "April showers bring May flowers", what does an april blizzard bring..besides exhaustion from shoveling away all the snow... we had 12 inches yesterday, and at least that much is scheduled for today!

                    Cat, that sounds miserable.

                    Happy birthday Peter!

                      That much snow is obscene.

Damn Yankees deserve it....oh, I mean it's a shame the Northern folks are getting so much snow! Here in the South, I just turned the AC on.

My niece and her wife live in mid-Florida. They're under a tornado warning right now. Dont' know which is worse...

Yeah. Am watching that. Those warnings rarely amount to anything. And when they do, the tornados aren’t as powerful as Midwest tornados.

It’s also 80F and not snowing.

:) Ann tell Peter Happy Birthday. Agate I'm glad you have safe slippers now. Virginia I hope you are feeling better too. I had a quiet weekend. I went to hear Andy's band last night and ate at Cracker Barrel on the way there. Their kale salad is good. In my PJ's watching TV. Jeanie :)
