        I found this site, which may have something to help you figure out why BT isn't loading properly for you:

        Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...

        It might as well be written in Chinese, because I can't understand any of it!

        My other computer illiterate ideas ~

        clear your cache;
        check with the browser you're using, see if there are preferences there;
        if you're going to a bookmark, try accessing BT through a search engine of your choice;
        shut down your computer, unplug the electrical connection to your modem ... wait a couple of minutes, plug in modem, restart computer;
        voodoo.

        Regarding the number of visitors, I think Mike or Moderator #7 have told us that there are "bots" which stroll around BT and appear as visitors or guests. They probably land on the MS Forum more frequently, because this is the most active forum on BT.

        Let me reiterate: I don't know enough about computers to fill a thimble. I just wanted to try to help you, because I feel your frustration and know it well.

          stillstANNding, I think that every time anyone opens up a thread by clicking on it, that is recorded as a page view and added to that total.

          Rose, thank you so much for trying to help! I had actually tried most of those fixes. The only one not tried is the plug-pulling but tonight I'll shut the whole works down and hope that things are better in the AM, and if not I'll try pulling that plug.

          I clear the cache every day now at the end of the day, just in case it helps to improve Internet access. I'm not sure it helps much but I like to think it does.

            Early to bed, early to rise. Who said that, ol' Ben? Well I went to bed around 10, and was up this morning at 6. So I waited until 7, and hit the store to get my creamer for the coffee I had brewing while I was out.

            I like being up early. I may try to get in the habit. It's raining, and cool enough to put on a jacket. But now, I'm in for the day. Tomorrow is going to be rainy too, but the next day, I'm going out to tinker with the Ghia.

            Have a great day!

              Good to know that Pinky is in your spring plans, Howie. I'm assuming that the Ghia is Pinky?

              The HTML version of this board wasn't there this morning, and I'm very relieved. I wasn't looking forward to looking at it again. Every once in a while a computer problem fixes itself if I just wait a day or so, and this was one of those times.

                Yes, Howie, unless you work the night shift, the 10 p.m - 6 a.m. (or later) is a reasonable time to be sleeping...then awake during the day (with perhaps an afternoon nap).

                Your getting up early reminds me of this: We were visiting an old farming couple here in Wisconsin. They were talking about how they had retired from actual farming, letting their son use the land. The husband said something like: "Yes, we're really enjoying our retirement. What I like best is being able, finally after all these years, being able to sleep late in the morning!" At which time the wife chimed in, "Why, yes!! It was probably 6:30 before we got up this morning!!!"

                  I am afraid I couldn't spend the night with that former farm couple. I had to get up at what I thought was early for many years - 6 to 6:30 most of the time, but there were a few years that I was located in places that I had to get up earlier. I just can't do it anymore. My body screams at me if I try.

                  I would guess that Sunshine gets up quite early, since when she is surfing, she is out there at sunrise.

                    I get up at 4:30 a.m., surf or no surf.

                    On surf eve, I am too stoked to sleep !

                      Sunshine, you must take a nap in the day time and go to bed early. One place we lived I had to get up at 4:30 to get to work on time, due to the distance and traffic. I didn't like it, but I kind of got use to it enough to look awake and work all day. I think I went to bed around 8:30 to 9:00.

                      Howie, tomorrow our rain is suppose to be gone. Maybe some clouds, but nothing wet. Then Thursday the sun is suppose to be out. Guess your weather is much the same. Even though rain was forecast for 3 days here I haven't seen that much. But it did ruin my new car wash. Yesterday while I was out I noticed that the car looked like it was spotted with pollen.

                        This is a hard time of the year to keep your car clean because of the pollen. The bees love it, but folks with clean cars hate it!

                          Howie, I'm sending you a hive full of bees who are guaranteed to take care of the pollen on your car.

                            Oh, that's so kind of you to send me some bees, but I've trained Sam to do what the bees do, and pollenate all the plants in the area. She even wears the little bee costume I got her.

                              I spoke too soon. I saw on the news that it is supposed to rain tomorrow and not Thursday. Just after I said I hadn't seen much rain just darkness it started pouring.

                                Virginia, those are those April showers, most likely. It's all good. May flowers are on the way.
