The celebration was actually yesterday, when my son and DIL and little William (exactly 2 months old) came over. We played a board game and cooed at William and had a wonderful time. This was a combination Mother's Day and birthday visit. My DIL has lots of relatives in this area, and they have a social life that keeps them busy much of the time.
I'm crocheting a blanket for William, which he might get by the end of the summer, and spent some of today moving that project forward.
A couple of neighbors actually wished me a happy birthday too. They learned of it by Facebook. Birthdays are observed each month here with a party (ice cream and cake) but I've never been on the list for those observances. I do help with maintaining the first floor here when the managers aren't here, and so I felt that I was being thanked for my efforts when a couple of neighbors actually sang "Happy Birthday" to me today, and another one gave me a card.Last edited by agate; 05-28-2018, 07:30 PM.SPMS diagnosed 1980.
