I've never seen it in action, but I'm told that, if requested, they'll accompany someone and help them shop. My store does have a pickup service -- I shop, check out, they'll give me a number, take my cart to a side door. We drive around to that door, and they will load the groceries, and won't take a tip.

I have seen a blind woman at Stop and Shop here. She approaches the desk. I think she may have had an appointment. They ask, Are you ready? They call a young woman and off they go shopping. I imagine most stores will do this.

We have a fishing port about 5 miles away so when I have gone to the store instead of ordering on line, there are often three or four guys from a boat with 2 carts each loading up food for the crew for 1-2 weeks out on the water. I'd hate to pay that bill!

I washed my car this afternoon for the first time in months. Short while out and not overwhelmingly hot but it wiped me out! Car looks better though. However, the pollen will probably be back by morning. Kristof has been in String Camp at the University all week. Finishing tomorrow morning with a concert at 2 tomorrow afternoon. He learned so much last summer at this camp and it propelled him into a much more aware and active violinist. That kid can hear just about anything now and pick it out on the violin, keyboard or guitar.

Cherie, I hadn't thought of people who might be buying for anyone other than family. When I think about it I can see why a number of people would need several carts.

Good to hear about Kristof. He has really made a lot of progress it sounds like. I know you are proud.

I am frustrated beyond belief. I got a notice that PAN had funds for MS yesterday. I immediately filled out a renewal for help with my co-pay. Because I had $96.46 just sitting there it would not let me renew. The balance has to be zero. I called PAN to see what I could do and they told me to call my Pharmacist and tell them to send in a dummy request for that amount. I did and the Pharmacy said they couldn't due to my insurance not approving it because I just got a shipment last week, so it is too soon for another one. They told me they would call the insurance company today and call me back when they got it worked out. I did not hear a word. So here I am worrying about getting my drugs, knowing the money is available and cannot get to it. Naturally, this had to happen on a Friday. So now I have the week-end to worry.

I don't know how long the funds will last because people with a zero can reapply on line and be approved right then. Oh well!

Oh, Virginia, I am sorry. Is there anything else you can use the money for? Anything else medical? What a dilemma.

I know Joy got some of her money on something like a debit card. It was an amount to cover several of her meds but it didn’t matter if she used the card for groceries. She still had to use her on money one way or the other.

Really impressive dollhouse there! Looks like a lighthouse maybe?

I don't know if anyone besides me has cooling equipment as offered by the MSAA or MS Foundation. I think mine came from the MSAA, some years ago. I use the wrist bands especially but today I found that in one or two of the 4 cooling inserts, the special gel inside them is gone. I don't know if it leaked or just disappeared. Anyway, they're useless for cooling but I still have the other two.

I tried to contact the company about replacing these inserts but the company is no longer in business, and apparently these wristbands are no longer available either. The MSAA is offering something else that looks different. The booklet that came with these says: "Additional Coolband inserts may be purchased separately."

                            Well, no, they can't.

Does anyone know of any similar type of cooling wristband? I like these because they don't weigh a ton and are easy to slip on and off, and just having wrists cooled off helps.
