:) I went to the doctor for my 6 months check up today. My EKG showed that I may have had a heart attack. I never had chest pain. I told the doctor I have to die of something but I will be more careful with my diet now.

After I went to the Mall to get perfume. Then to Walgreen's for my RX's. I ate at Applebee's which is right next to Walgreens. I came home to discover my central air is not working again and it is 85 in here. I am going to put the 20 inch fan in the bedroom and tomorrow Andy will put the window unit in my bedroom again. I wish I could solve the problems without relying on Andy so much.

I should have put this in Chit Chat. Hopefully his band mate will come on the weekend and check it out. I am waiting to put on PJ bottoms as it is hot. Jeanie :)

Virginia, I've had surgery on my eye, the only surgery I've ever had. I was wide awake for the whole thing, but I'm sure you will be knocked out. When you wake up, it will be already done. It's the thought of it that's really the hardest thing.

Good luck, and you will be fine. Then you can come back here, and tell us all about it.

I had that done once to remove a chalazion a long, long time ago. I was terrified.

Surprisingly, it was a breeze, it isn't as uncomfortable as you'd expect, the eyelid is pretty malleable to being flipped. Having the clamp on it just feels secure, but not painful or difficult.

Hopefully, yours will mend on its own under your care, but if you need to have it removed, rest assured that it is a very smooth procedure to undergo. I get the willies having anything to do with or near my eyes, but this turned out not to merit the stress and anxiety I put myself through beforehand!

          Do the hot compresses.

Did doc also talk to you about lid scrubs?

You mix a drop of baby shampoo in a cup of water. Dip cotton q tip in it to get it wet. Then trace the lid and bottom lid along the line that holds your lashes. This is where the blocked Oil glands are. It keeps them from getting plugged.

This worked for me and ever since that first chalezeon, I do it every night and had no further problems.

Jeanie, that’s very scary. Okay girl, deuce saturated fats, no more processed foods, get rid of sweets, pasta, rice and potatoes. Cook with fresh veg, fruits, chicken, fish, low fat or non fat dairy.

Cholesterol is manufactured by the body when the carb to protein ratio exceeds 6:4.
So, if you have 6grams of carbs, you need to eat 4 grams of protein.

If it’s too hard to emeber, just do 1:1 ratio. If you eat 10 G carb, must eat 10g protein.

It’s as simple as that. Most elevated cholesterol is not due to the cholesterol in your food. When your carb to protein ratio exceeds 6:4, it signals your body to manufacture cholesterol. It also tells your body to store the calories as fat, and don’t release the fat even with exercise.

Most processed foods have way too many carbs per protein.

Jeanie Sunshine is giving you good advice. I think we have a number of people on here who eat healthy, Agate, Linda and Ann come to mind. When are they going to recheck your EKG?

Suze-Q you make me feel better, but I am not brave when they start messing around with my eyes. He is a good Doctor who I have known for many years and he knows what he is talking about. Sunshine, I had decided on my own that I would start using the baby shampoo and clean the lids. I just don't need this extra hazel of going through this. I also don't like the idea that I have to stay in so long because I look so bad. He will not knock me out, but will give me something to take the edge off at least. Suze-Q does it bleed a lot when they do that?

It sounds stressful Virginia. Wish I was there to help you through it. It’s enough having MS, but now this...

Good advice. But some people produce cholesterol no matter what. My friend was a skinny, vegetarian From India and they could not control his numbers.

If somebody tells me they have to do some surgery on my eye...or anything more than doing a routine eye exam....they have to put me asleep. And not wake me up until the eye is healed.. :)

:) Andy's friend Jack came at 4:30 and worked on my AC. In 30 minutes he had it running again. It is slowly cooling down in here thankfully. I am so relieved it was still fixable. Jack is such a fine young man and we have known him since they were in grade school together. Jeanie :)

Cherie, might you post your info on the MMJ thread? And may I copy and paste it on my SPS forum of Braintalk? Or, perhaps you paste it on that forum?

Could you send me your email address? I will send you a series of articles my mother wrote for two newspapers in Upstate NY on the history of its use and the abolition of it in the 1930s.

Jack Herer is highly revered in the MJ world. There is a strain of MJ named after him, as well as hybrids. Most dispensaries have at least one form of Jack Herer in flower, vapes, edibles, etc.

Does Canna Causes only deal with CBD oil, or do they also have THC options?]QUOTE]

Yes. They have everything. In fact they say that CBD with no THC is nearly impossible and they have 3:1 ratios 10:1 and more. Wide variety but they don't have an online menu of that stuff because it is their practice to tailor the nectar strengths to the symptoms and needs of the user.

So glad your a/c is working again. It's scary that you may have had a heart attack. Did the doctor indicate that you needed to take any meds for your heart? I hope a diet change will help you. You're in my prayers.

                              Virginia ~

I'm praying that the antibiotics and soaking your eye will work, so that you don't need to have surgery. Is there anything new related to your financial assistance with your meds?

                              Cheri ~

Thank you for the info. How do they market their THC products? Dispensaries? Do patients contact them directly for consults, and they create the tinctures based on the consult? I guess I should spend time on their website to become more educated about them.

                              Our News ~

We received a notice from our Homeowners' Association today regarding the creation of a new policy pertaining to solar panels. This led to a discussion in which Jim stated that he feels it would be better for us to have solar panels installed than a permanent back up generator. We agreed that this would be the best plan and a good environmental choice. So now, I'm researching solar panel companies.

Sometimes it takes us a while to get where we need to be. Eventually, we do get there.

Prayers for all of you every day ~

                              Love & Light,

Rose, regarding my Rebif and any financial assistance, I am on my own for the rest of this year. I made a decision to take it out of savings for that long, but if I do not get assistance the first of the year I will have to give it up. I DO NOT WANT TO GO OFF MY MS MEDICATION! I am shouting at the drug company and anyone else who will listen.

Cat you're a bundle of joy about the possible eye surgery. However, I kind of feel that way, but I do trust this Doctor. Anyway, if you could see my eyelid and you thought you might have to go around like this I bet you would have the surgery no matter how they do it.

Jeanie, I would like to loose a few pounds also. I have started eating a salad before every meal and I think it cuts down on the amount of other food that I eat. I just put some lettuce on a salad plate, slice a couple of tomato slices on top and then put some cucumber slices on top of that. Then I put a lite dressing on it. I don't know if I will loose any or not, but I don't seem to get as hungry.
