That's cuz she wants to keep the cheese and turkey coming, Howie. Otherwise she would have to get a real job or develop a taste for mice and birds!

Haha--Sam with a real job! I was wondering if she could branch out and develop skills in computer repair. Everyone should have a cat who knows how to fix computers!

Funny you should say that. She's just started online training to work on computers. I'll let you know when she graduates.

She probably knows about the Pause command. And since she has that down so well, the rest of her training should be a walk in the park.

I don't even know what the Pause command is, but I'll ask her.

Paint that Cat black and it would be Sam giving Howie CPR while his computer was down.

Sam will never be good at computer repair. She keeps getting distracted by the mouse. And she didn't give him CPR, either. The true story is that a couple of Howie's buddies stopped by, found him lying on the bathroom floor in dim light and revived him.
Here's a video. It's kinda fuzzy due to the poor lighting in there.

It's thawing here!!! That's the good news. The bad news is that it is also flooding! We're on top of a hill, so safe. But all around us, including the major highway between us and town, there are huge puddles, deep puddles, of water. There were over twenty inches of snow on the ground, which was frozen, and so the melting snow could not soak into the ground. The water went to the low spots and small "lakes" are everywhere. We had grocery shopped earlier before the last snowfall. Good thing, because I would not have been able to go for the last four days -- several areas along the highway to town are under water, and the back roads icy. Nothing like spring in Wisconsin!

Cat, also sounds like nothing like winter in Wisconsin also, just in a different way. Glad you are finally thawing out and not in a flood area.

On the bright side, maybe the temperatures will stay warm enough so that all of that water won't freeze. There's still the problem of what to do with all of it though. Glad you're out of the worst of it, Cat.

I went to the store this morning. I should be set for another week. It's sunny, but cold. This will be here for a week, then it will start warming up.

The computer is working just like it did before the "incident". He was slow fixing it, but I assume he had to order the parts it needed.

I have online banking. I check on how much $$ I have, and what bills have been paid. It's very convenient for me. I have most bills on auto-pay, so I can look online, and see who's been paid.

Well, everyone have a great day!

So Howie you are no longer using ethernet and are back to your regular way of getting on the internet?

Yeah, no Ethernet now. It got old fast. I had to sit in the living room floor. Now I am sitting on the bed, and Sam curled up on my lap. This is the way it's supposed to be!

Some of those cords are just too short. I believe you can invest in a longer cable if you know what you're doing but it does have to be the right type.

You had to sit on the living room floor? That shows real determination there. I would have a problem getting up from the living room floor but I'd probably have done the same thing if that was my only way to have Internet access.

They had 50-100 foot Ethernet cables on Amazon, but decided to just call my Nephew to fix it so it worked the way it always did. It's good to be back on my spot on the bed.

I have a board that was made just to hold the laptop securely on the bed.
