Virginia, maybe you're on an "antibiotic high"--so much accomplished in spite of a UTI.

Some people have come up with the idea that when you're on an antibiotic, you get a burst of energy--at least in the first few days. I don't know if it's true but it can be tricky because you tend to do more than your body is really ready for. I hope that isn't what's happening.

Moms of kids in nursery school had the notion that kids in the group who were on antibiotics tended to be very hyper. I thought I noticed this in my kids as well but am not sure.

      RE: laundry
Not every day but three times this week. We are changing over summer coverlets to warmer blankets. Down quilts in January.

Agate, I considered the possibility that the antibiotics were responsible for the extra energy yesterday. Whatever it is I’ll take it.

Today I was sore, but otherwise alright.

Today I had my own burst of energy and happiness. Peter is off tomorrow so we were really enjoying today. We went to our largest area Whole Foods and got a few things, did a good bit of walking and ate there. Then a walk around a Petco to buy food for the three cats.

Then Saver’s, a thrift store. As I have said, we love thrifting and today was half price on cloths, accessories and books. We bought just three books:

          Antiques and Collectibles
          Poetry of WH Auden
          Garden Primer by Damrosch

Then a brief trip into Dollar Tree.

          I am very done.

Swam 25 minutes 1/2 mile, reserving time to pull pool cover back onto the pool. today was first day of pool cover as it seemed wasteful to heat pool to 86 and then watch the steam escape all morning from the pool.

Sunshine, very good. I had not considered the heating of the pool. I had wondered if you have to get it cleaned or do you and DH do it.

                Good swimming time.

It is a self cleaning pool. DH takes care of the chemicals. I wouldn’t have a clue about that...

Today, I did about 15 minutes of low energy weeding of sunny ornamental plants on front walk way. It was too hot. I will choose a better time of day and try again!

It was nice to be outside. Waiting for PT. Should be here soon.

Today I swam 25 minutes, 1/2 mile and pulle on the pool cover. Then a friend came over for 60 minute visit, very nice, mostly sat and chatted. She said I looked much better than last she saw me in May! She said I was w/c bound then. The Ativan and the PT and my efforts pay off.

Just finished 30 minutes of PT, most of it walking or standing. We walked outdoors for 4 minutes, rested a few minutes, walked back to the house for the 4 minutes...did balancing exercises.
Cooked dinner, cleaned it up, might rest 30 minutes.

I am getting stronger. I am really hoping to participate in the paddle out for my surfer friend who drowned surfing. Not scheduled yet...

I am swimming 25 minutes every day, just over a 1/2 mile , in a wetsuit jacket and wetsuit pants in the 86F pool, mid 50s air before sunrise. It is very cold getting in and getting out, but the swim is warm :)

                              Does the award involve chocolate?
