I spent plenty of time lying down, resting today— these meds really drug me out. .. but I got my 9 minute walk inside the house and porch, and spent a lot of time on my feet getting supper ready.

I try to move when I can, even if it’s just a little bit. I figure everything helps...

My only walk today was to grocery store to pick up 3 items and to pharmacy to pick up meds.

I got quite a few steps in today because it was Instacart delivery day for the neighbor and me. They delivered our combined order to me, and I took her order up to her, in 3 installments. So I walked through the building those times to get to her apartment.

She has very few usable teeth, can't find transportation to the dentist to have the surgery she needs so she can again wear her denture, and probably doesn't really feel up to that ordeal on account of her age (97). So she eats lots of potatoes, cottage cheese, milk, yogurt and frozen meals that are not too chewy, as well as bananas. She usually has a fairly hefty bunch of groceries, in other words.

So I've been lifting them quite a bit today in addition to the walking.

And I mopped the kitchen floor and partly cleaned the bathroom.

It's quiet here but then it's usually pretty quiet as the weekend starts, and what with the holiday season, people are probably busy.

Out of stubbornness, I swam 1/2 mile, Plus, 27 minutes. It was warm outside and I had a newer warm neoprene jacket on, less chilled.

I have had pain all day, from SPS. Waiting for the 2nd Ativan to kick in by around 1:15, to finish getting ready for IVIG and to walk more around the home.

Used the rollator a fair amount, but want to do more....

Sunshine, I am hoping that Ativan did kick in. You are brave.

I have been shopping every day I have been here except Christmas. Christmas Eve was grocery shopping for two days. On the 26th, we took Mom to brunch at Denny’s and to Giant Eagle where she also banks. Friday, Peter and I did her list for Walmart, did some shopping for ourselves and Peter’s mom at Kohl’s, shopped Target and Dollar Tree. Exhausting. Today we did Tractor Supply (for me) and Aldi’s. I can not remember Saturday!

After we put everything away and I made lunch, cousins called and Mom invited them over.

I’m very tired. It’s so much more than my Boston life and missing so many things - birds, my cats, walks- that sustain me.

Anyway - I get some exercise points.

I have walked with my 3 wheeled rollator for a mile on four separate days . The snow and ice had all melted away so I went on a route that was easy from my house looping around streets. I have not done this in years. It did wipe me once I got home but I did it,

Linda, a mile is a VERY long way to walk. I use to change my shoes when I got off work early enough (before MS days) and hit the walkway around a lake. It was a mile and I seldom made it. I would usually go about 1/4 mile and turn around and go back 1/4 mile so that I had done a 1/2 mile walk. Sometime I would walk in my neighborhood and go into neighborhood next door. I would ride in the car to measure it and maybe I would have gone 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile.

                        You are absolutely killing it.

Ann, going from store to store is very tiring to me. I missed count of how many you went to.

Sunshine, you still amaze me. You have more perseverance than anyone I know.
