You should be proud of that, Agate, and of all your persevering. It is good to know that your body can do it if it has to and it probably made you stronger.

    Five stars (out of five)

Outstanding Agate! So glad you are able to do that. Every day was really good and some days were great, and you hit it out of the ballpark when you did over 3800 steps. Amazing!

Agate: That is truly amazing!!!! Did it impact you in any Negative or Positive way to step more?

Testing was regular mammo and Bone density, but it involves all kinds of GI changes to accomplish it. And sitting up too long.

The place has slipped in its social distancing. First, I asserted myself with the nurse, and told her I would be sitting in the hallway which was empty, not in the small room where there were 5 women including me in gowns, waiting to get a mammo or waiting to see if they would get called back for further testing.

I emailed the head of the place (a large radiology facility ) my concerns. She agreed and said she has instituted changes. I also was dismayed they would hand a clipboard at the front desk sign in for info without first wiping it. She agreed and said she would change it. These are things I have always been aware of since I have immune deficiency syndrome. And always gloved my hands in public for this type of thing, for shopping for groceries etc. So, it was very obvious to me....

Lesson for us all: Speak up! It’s only your health and life!

The days with the high step counts were days when I was moving around more in connection with clearing the neighbor's apartment. I was going from one room to another in her place and back and forth in the building as well but while in her place I was having to rummage for things and reach for them and lean over for them.

I'm not sure if it was all of the arm activity or all of the extra steps that did it but I had some serious setbacks during that time. One day there was serious back pain and I had to take it very easy. Other days I had to get into my wheelchair for rest breaks of about 20 minutes at a time.

Yesterday and today I swam 1/2 mile. My housekeeper helped me to cook the main dish and a side salad yesterday afterwards by cleaning up the mess and helping me to lift pans to pour hot liquids.

Today DH goes to work after the swim. Then I cooked a complex side dish fo the next two days as tomorrow is IVIG. Yesterday’s chicken pesto dish lasts until Thursday morning. And I readied the food for IVIG tomorrow. Resting a bit, then eat an early 10 a.m. lunch and then its rest for a long time, then finish getting ready for IVIG.

MY MMJ card arrived in my inbox today. Yearly, one reapplies on line and Its a process that takes about two weeks in cyberspace. Its a sigh of reief, it means I don’t have to buy extra vials to beat the expiration of the card. They only let you apply 45 days in advance in FLoirda, and it takes them two weeks to process.

Sunshine, I guess the chicken pesto dish is the one with chicken, pesto and cheese on top. It reminded me that I have not made that in awhile. I really hope IVIG goes well and you get some good results.
