I take Rituxan for MS, which suppresses my immune system and may have led to the shingles outbreak. So now, at the advice if an infectious disease doctor, I take Valtrex before and after my Rituxan infusion.

Agate, you're good at knowing these things, but I know it's a long shot. Any chance we get paid tomorrow since the 1st and 2nd are on the weekend?

I have money, but would rather make a Friday store trip than one on a Monday. Plus it would give me the weekend to get my bills ready, and get them in the mail.

Thanks for the compliment, Howie, but the Social Security Website is down for maintenance. My guess is that the money won't be in until Monday since that's the 3rd but every now and then there's a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, I'm already up this morning, got online and went to the bank, and my account was the same. Oh well, I have enough money to go to the store, but can't get myself motivated. I really have plenty of food as does Sam. I think it all boils down to feeling a little stir crazy. But I'm safe.

Well, it's cloudy, and they're calling for rain for the next 2 days. I guess it's a good time to stay home. I don't drive when it's raining unless I ABSOLUTELY have to.

I thought maybe that animal in your avatar photo had come to the end of that snowy ledge it is walking on and was speaking up about it. I think it's a cat--maybe Sam? But is that a rooftop or what? Kind of unusual for there to be that much snow there, or no?

You may have explained this at one time but I must have missed it.

Yeah, that's Sam. Those are 4x4 timbers I have outlining the flower beds, and the driveway. I think that was the first snow several of the cats had experienced, so I let them out to get a good look at it. They didn't like their little tootsies getting cold walking in it, so they didn't stay out long. It was funny watching them explore.

Looking at that photo is cooling.

And Howie (or someone), how would you like to start the August chitchat thread? I have started the chitchat thread for 5 months in a row. Someone else should have a chance.

Thanks Agate. You've done a great job. I see that Ann has stepped up to the plate. Time for you to take a break, and Thank You Agate.

I'll be happy to continue starting chitchat threads as the need arises. I just thought that taking turns might be a good option. Or maybe one person does the thread for a few months, then passes it along to someone else?

The only reason I have not done it in awhile is because I forget it. I can't even remember to say rabit rabit. If someone could remind me then I would be glad to do it, however I guess that would be defeating the purpose. Let's continue on, which is to say if anyone wants to do it they can, but otherwise we will as always depend on our most dependable Agate, assuming none of the rest of us remember.

Well I don't want it. I love posting on it, but forget me ever starting it.
