    September Chit/Chat

Well, I am back to the old Chit/Chat. I am not as creative with words as Ann.

It is September folks, in another month we will have just 3 more months to Christmas. Seems unreal that 2020 will have passed in 4 months. Such a strange year with the pandemic all around us. I am mostly in my house, haven't been to visit anyone or out to eat since it all started. I expect there are some of you who are in that same situation.

Fall will soon be here and we can get out more heavy clothes, and that will give us a different feeling. I look forward to it except that there may be more sickness and that is something none of us look forward to. Today at the pharmacy they were putting out a sign that flu shots are available. Seems a little early.

I hope Jeanie does well this month and gets to come home as long as she is safe.

I also hope for good health and safety for all of us in September.

Bye for now from North Carolina!!

Heavy clothes? We're headed for more days in the mid-90s here but it won't be long. In fact in another 2 months the US will probably have an election, and it will be November, and we'll be wearing lots of heavy clothes.

Stay well and safe, everyone. Let's hope Jeanie can be back here before long though her son didn't think she'd be going home so very soon.

Agreed. Already I am starting to think about how to re-engineer the bubble wrap pool cover to make it last a few more months, with DH. As around mid OCt we will need it.

Looking toward November and dearly hoping our nation will vote with their heads, and the winner will help heal the nation. Otherwise, we sink into an abyss.

BTW is anyone watching Madame Secretary , all the seasons, on Netflix? I think it was made pre-Trump, and yet, much of the politics are the same!

Sunshine, thank you for stating the obvious - it is healing we need!

It's dead. No reactions so far. I try not to think about it because of the way it was done by the NP. I will look for a real doctor soon. This virus thing makes it a bad time to think about a new doctor. Thanks for asking.

I've called them, and it's totally up to the NP to call it in to CVS. So I just don't take it anymore I guess.

Could you try to keep calling? Sometimes a request like that just slips past the people who should be noticing it.

No. I've been calling for 3 days now, and the NP has to approve it. I now give up the chase.

There is absolutely no excuse for the NP not to renew your prescription. You can't just stop taking it! You're taking it to control seizures, and when you stopped taking it, the seizures returned. Did you ask why the NP hasn't renewed it?

Please call CVS and tell them what's going on and ask them for enough pills to tide you over until this gets sorted out. I've never had a pharmacy, which wouldn't do that. And, I was asking for seizure meds, particularly Phenobarbitol, which is a controlled drug now. Also CVS should be on the phone to your doctor's office requesting a refill on your behalf.

Once this gets sorted out, please do what I suggested and start calling for your refill well before you run out, because it sounds like this issue isn't going to go away.

The NP works for your doctor, and denying you this med, which could cause you to have a recurrence of seizures, is unacceptable. Your doctor took an oath to "first do no harm." If you have a seizure, because the doctor/NP was negligent in renewing your prescription, that is causing harm.

Remember, the doctor works for you. It's not the other way around.

Prayers that you get this resolved very quickly. If not, I'd be glad to call your doctor/NP and tell them how the cow ate the cabbage. I guarantee you'd have your meds pronto!

                        Love & Light,

                        Rose
