Howie -- Peaches and Badcat are very concerned about Sam. What would happen to her if you have a big seizure and get taken to the hospital? They sure hope you get some gaba to keep you well and waiting on her. Purrrrty please.

Long ago, maybe on this board, someone took someone else to task for not being aware that sometimes people post just to vent. They're not looking for help--they just want to express their feelings.

The tone of that post was scolding, as if people ought to understand this without being told.

But if you're on a support board, which this is, it's more or less understood that support will be offered. You can always ignore it and move on.

I have an impression that Howie may be one of those who just want a chance to vent now and then, and when he wants our help, he'll ask for it explicitly. I hope Howie will correct me if I'm wrong on this.

And I hope that he'll excuse us hens for doing our clucking thing.

Last evening we took a walk, wearing masks as is required in the City. We came across several neighbors and exchanged news and well wishes.

We found someone put out a four foot grow light with all the pieces and the stand - light bulb, timer and all. We saw a women near the door and thanked her and she wished us well. I am thrilled. The garden will last a few more month but then it would just be store bought and sprouts. Now there will be micro greens! Very happy. Almost like it was waiting for me.

Ann, I was wondering what a four foot grow light with stand, light bulb, timer and all were. Then I figured out that it is a garden that you can plant in the winter. Glad you had such a find. I agree, it was put there just for you.

Maybe Sam will lay across Howie's lap and start hitting the keyboard with her paws. She might not spell everything right, but we would know what she is saying regardless.

What she's saying isn't what she's thinking, though. She says one thing and thinks something else, I'm sure. No one will ever know how her mind works but it's devious.

I'm still chasing the Gabapentin refill. I've called CVS, and the doctors office, both several times today, and I'm still waiting. This is beyond ridiculous. No one has to respond to this post, I'm just venting.

Thank you for checking in. I’m not “responding to this” but in my private thoughts I may be thinking that your sister sometimes gets results. :-)

I've thought of that, but the last time I called her, my brother in law answered, and someone had died, and she couldn't come to the phone, but I didn't catch who. Probably one of her cows. So she's out!

Well, I did just call my sister, and I gave her the Dr.s number, so she's on the case. And it was her pet possum that died, but she loves all her critters, and was really attached to that possum. Yeah, life here in the sticks is a weird one.

                              Howie ~

I'm so glad that your sister is on the case. It's just a shame that your doctor's office is not meeting their responsibility to ensure that you have the meds you need. I hope your sister is successful in resolving this issue. I'm so sorry that she lost her pet possum. Losing any pet, as you know, is painful.

Looking forward to your post that you finally have your Gabapentin.

I knew my sister would come through. I got my Gabapentin, and just took 2. I'll take 2 more before bed. I normally take 6 a day, so I'm going to get back to normal. My sister really looks after me.
