Hi Peg, Ah, winter is coming. I love winter with the snow, the holidays and family get togethers..:o As far as I'm concerned, don't have much preparation, since I rarely go outside anymore. I do miss getting out and playing in the snow, but don't miss the icy frigid type weather.

Hey, Spring is just around the corner..HaHa!!

Has anyone talked to Gary? Haven't seen him in awhile. I hope he's not ill again.
    Love, Sally

Peg you are right it was getting too long.

Sally I am here, I am here!!

Doing pretty good for some one in their 90's . I have decided to add 15 years to my age when anybody asks. That way people can say "oh you look good". Instead of saying "Oh was anyone else injured in the accident?".

Have a consultation appt with the oral surgeon tomorrow .

Weather has drizzled all day and since it is harvest time the roads are covered in mud but the good thing is there is no dust blowing up in the fields. I have been getting the farm ready for its winter nap. The first year no one told me that you had to blow out your underground sprinklers...... that next spring I had to install new under ground sprinklers!

      Be healthy everybody.

Gary, I thought you had retired. Didn't you rent out the farm to someone else. Or did I imagine it?

Parsi, that's what I remember, too, a rented farm.

Gary you are funny, "..was anyone else injured in the accident?"

Peg, how are you doing? How many weeks has it been since the stem cells?

            Hi Sally- I heart you!

Lady is going for eye surgery on Wednesday. Cataracts, I think. Please keep her in your prayers. She is nervous about eye surgery.

I am traveling to Mom's soon so am busy doing tickets and limos on line (only because they don't answer their phones). I would pay extra $ if someone else would fill in those darn forms. I am always afraid I will get my ticket wrong. Instead, Pizzaguy (SO) got his wrong and had to pay an extra $18 to fix one small but crucial thing- the date of his departure. I am relieved it wasn't me.

            Be well-er,

Parsi, I have the farm leased out except for the house, my garden and the front yard. So I still have to cut the lawn (riding mower), water the grass (underground sprinklers) and water the garden (drip irrigation). As I read this I see that I really have it rough!

Oral surgeon is going to get approval from ins company at my insistence I don't want any surprises later when the bill comes.

Cool, sunny and breezy here today. Ideal early fall day. David has been cutting limbs off trees that were damaged in Irene and hauling them away. All done with small hand saw. The guy is hurting! One of the red maples and one of the sycamores really took a beating.

Heather's car died today so she has mine at least till Wednesday or Thursday so my wings have been clipped. I don't really need to go anywhere...it's just the knowledge that I can't that is unsettling.

Still plowing through the online financial/investing courses I started last week. Lights are coming on and I am "getting" stuff I have always avoided and never had an interest in.

I wish someone would do all my forms work, online and off. [as well as follow throughs]. Unfortunately I usually end up doing it for my husband and often for his family. :ambivalence:

                    Hi Peg,
My name is Ava I’m new to this board. I see you did stem cell transplant at StemGenex. Please let me know on your improvement –since I have been thinking of doing that in December. Borrow money from friends and family and wonder if is worth it or I’m going to pay for my dreams.
I have MS for 32 years don’t walk and now my left hand is not working and right is giving out so that is my only option – all possible MS medication do not work on me (on Tysabrii for past 3 years).
Sorry for my grammar - English is my second language
                    Thank you for listening
                    Ava

Hi Ava, welcome to Braintalk. I hope you will join us often. We have some really nice and helpful people. Maybe Peg will come along soon.

Hi to everyone else. I road with friend up to Smokey Mountains Parkway Sunday. The weather was beautiful and in the higher elevation the color was beautiful. It turned out to be a good time to go. We had lunch in Boone and I thought of Laurel. I know they were planning to build a new house.

I hurt myself doing Yoga about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I went to the Doctor last week and she said I twisted the ball located in my thigh area. I am back trying to do Yoga again after being away for over two weeks. I do not want to get any weaker if I can help it.

The weather here is absolutely so beautiful and has been for a number of days now. However, it is due to start raining tonight and into tomorrow and then a cool down. Would you believe we were in the 80s today and yesterday. It was low 80s and not much humidity so it really did not feel bad at all.

Gary, you really do have such a hard life. I can see that now that you have told us. I actually do still do all my own cleaning, grocery shopping and everything. When you live alone there isn't much choice.

I hope everyone is having a good week.

Please think of Lady today as she has asked for prayers and good thoughts as she goes through eye surgery that scares her.

Hi Virginia. Would physical therapy we an option? I'm for whatever helps the most.

Holding Lady and feeling a kinship. I was told a couple of months ago that I was at a point where I needed to consider cataract surgery (they started right after two years of high dose steroids). Two days ago, I started getting lightening flashes in the outside of my vision of the left eye then started with a large swirly brown floater. Tried to get into my old Ophthalmologist here in town that helped me get my MS diagnosis years ago but he had no openings so I have an appointment mid November to see if he will do the surgery. This morning Dave took me to my optomotrist who confirmed that I had a small bleed inside the eye but fortunately the retina was not torn. He's not happy that the doc would not see me yesterday as a quick zap with lasar would have stopped the bleed and I would have saved a piece of vision he now believes may not come back. Back to him in three weeks to be sure it is healing properly.

                            55 and rain here today.

                            Welcome Ava

:) Hi everyone. I have not been here much as my Spyware program expired and when I put my credit card on to renew it someone charged gas on my card. I had to cancel it and get another one.

The $39.99 was paid to PC Tools but the Spyware won't work and after about 20 emails back and forth I asked them to just mail me a refund check and I will purchase a program at a local store.

In the meantime I downloaded the free AVG Spyware that is good for 30 days. I am still out of energy and accomplishing very little. David's sister and her husband are coming from California on 11/10 and everything needs a good cleaning. I wish David would let me have Merry Maid or some cleaning service to get the house up to par for company.

You are all in my nightly prayers. My Mother and DIL are the same. The friend in his 80's who helps Mother has AIDS and he is having low white cell counts, and Karposi's Sarcomas (Cancers on the skin) he just had two more removed. Please add him to your prayers.

YOu are all in my nightly prayers. Lady and Peg post an update please. Jeanie
                              :)
