    Okay I took 10 breaths and lets see if I can explain this. yes you can read the new health care legislation on line but rather order it from the govt printing office and sit down with it paper and pencil and dig in thats what I did when it first came out and of course it does NOT say those two words in question [U]but it is inferred and you have to put it together.

      Since you have already taken the time to "dig" IT out, would you be so kind as to reference the page number of the bill where you found IT to be "inferred".

        One acronym for you which is IPAB. And that is what is at the heart of the matter/debate. Yes, it is inferred and is throughout the entire bill and WHY the term "panel(s)" was born. Btw, retired Fed here with BC/BS Standard, Self, Medicare Parts A&B and Tricare. Those of us that are under the FEHBP do have excellent plans but our plans are negotiated/administered by OPM NOT CMS. And yes, having a PRIVATE BC/BS or any other plan under the FEHBP is EXTREMELY important! It will be a different ballgame for those having their healthcare administered solely by CMS. And it can and will affect active and retired Feds if not repealed. Therefore, I believe Abby is correct. And, no, this is not a scare tactic. Having said that, I have spoken to all 14 of my Specialists and NONE are dropping Medicare but ALL do NOT support this bill. Can't say that I blame them either. Anyway, just my two cents worth. I was really reading this forum to learn more about MS.

          Kathi49, if you've read through this thread you know that it might be shut down if it gets too controversial.

          But welcome to this neck of the woods.

              Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

              It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

              Step 1 - log in
              Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
              Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
              Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
              Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

              Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

              Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.
