Brigitte, no pictures by us as we were told after they got married. They did have a friend take pictures so we hope to get them soon. I will break the job up into small projects. The nice thing about the snap and click flooring is you can leave it and get back to it days later with no problem. Cool pictures, I hope you have an easy day tomorrow.

It was a lazy sleepy day today for me. I watched a couple of football games but other than that I didn't do much except to take it easy on my knee.

Logannamath - The kids are 1 and 5. Colds are worrisome as they both have asthma and the 5 year old was hospitalized for it when he was 2. It turned out that the 1 year old has an ear infection. It took two nights of her waking us up with this blood curling screaming around 4 AM for me call the doctor. She's still off her sleep schedule which means we're off our sleep schedules, too . . . . Yes, it's hard when they're sick.

Both my husband and I have bronchitis. I'm recovering as my doctor put me on antibiotics in light of the problem I had in September with an infection; however, my husband isn't recovering.

In August, I had a shot for ulnar nerve pain affecting my left arm that seems to have worn off. I put off calling the doctor as I just didn't want to admit it was back. It hit really hard on Friday to the point I was nauseous. I called the doctor's office but they couldn't see me for a month. They talked with the doctor and worked me into the schedule for next week. They said they'd call me if there was a cancellation this week. Well, someone cancelled for tomorrow so I'm in and hopefully getting a shot.

We drove up to Mt. Rainier yesterday to see the fall colors. My son was excited to be standing on a volcano. It was very pretty and we will return when we can actually explore some of the short hikes.

New Cervie, you and your family sure have had a run of illnesses. The kids really have a disadvantage about getting colds as they already start with asthma. My son had exercise induced asthma so he didn't deal with it all the time but we really had to watch any cold he got as it would turn into bronchitis or pneumonia in a hurry. I know you have to really keep a close eye on the kids. I feel for you and your daughter as pour daughter would act normal even though she had an ear infection until he became severe. We had to learn to take here into the doctor at the first sign of an ear infection.

Sorry to hear about your increased pain. I hope you get the shot you want and it works as well as the last one did.

I was asleep but woke up around 1 am like usual. My pain is way up so I took some meds and I am waiting for them to kick in. Maybe with the pain under control I can get back to sleep. I hope everyone is sleeping getting the rest they need.

Mark, Congratulations to Megan and Darrin; Oh what a happy, beautiful day that must've been. Such a blessed event.
At first it sounded like a surprise event but then you mentioned the girls had special dresses......so had to be planned. Such happy news for the family!!! Now you have to slow down working, keep those pain levels down; glad to hear your getting more rest.

Brigitte, your pics were great. To heck with looking at the bike; I had my eyes on your daughter who looks like she's growing like a weed, and a cheerleader to boot! Cute group of girls.

Newcervie, so sorry your guys are sick again. Seems like it never ends in your house. We're not doing much better right now, been going on for a while..... SO's doing better; don't know what I have; fever comes/goes; at least am coughing good but ribs have had enough :) Lots of hot chicken soup. Slept 2/3 days this week including yesterday. Extra sleep doesn't seem to be stopping this germ. Hope you and family feel better very soon NC

Oh, Mark, I think Jo wrote he was having surgery Oct 20? in is other post on Spinal Disorders...but won't swear to it.

Praying for all of us to heal, less pain, have an untortured week :) hugs to all, kat

Kat, yes I got Joe's date wrong and found out when I read his post. I see the Packers keep winning each week. The Colts lack of heir apparent at QB has caught up with them this year. The kids planned the wedding but didn't let any of us know they were planning it. We knew at some point they would get married but they didn't let either side know it would be soon. Megan bought her dress the night before so it was quick. Have your trees hung on to their leaves or are they already on the ground? We haven't had any color yet so I hope winter is a couple of months away.

Brigitte, the kids sure are growing. You have some really good pictures of them.

Today was an easy day for me as I have tried to get my knee pain under control and it has worked. Penny and I did go over to the kids for a quick visit. We returned a dish and delivered a couple pieces of mail so it was a short visit. It was good to see them and to see Emery as she was running around showing grandma and grandpa different things. We didn't stay long because Megan took the first two days this week off and we didn't want to interfere with their plans.

Mark - Yes, we're cautious with colds given the experience with Josh. Initially, the asthma was triggered by food allergies and exercise but he's doing better as he gets older. Since she was 8 months with her first episode, there's no known trigger except colds. She's sleeping through the night now and willingly goes to bed on her own now so things are getting better.

The pain shot was a no-go. He didn't want to do it given the infection I had in September. The shot would have been in the viscinity of the infection so I understand the need to wait. It is scheduled for a month from now and they'll try to get the insurance to cover the shot this time. I can wait as the situation has calmed down.

The Packers sure are having a great run. The Brewers didn't quite make it but gave it their all, did a great job trying!
Glad you got your knee pain under control. They can be very hurtful. When I'm on mine in house, always put layers of towels under them for cushion; hope you have some kind of cushion for indoor and out.

NC, know you'll be waiting for your shot; do hope your insurance pays for it. Ours will pay for only three, don't know if that's per yr or in a lifetime......knowing these guys, the latter. Good luck. Tried getting one in lower back but too much scar tissue in the way. Couldn't get needle to go where it needed to be..........

Still fighting this darn cold; don't mind that part too much but my pain levels are 10+ today; so very tired, just want to sleep. Have a guy delivering pellets, don't know what day he's coming, hopefully I'll hear him as I have his money :)

I hope everyone is sleeping well, great no pain day.....I'm hoping for that tomorrow. Hugs to all, kat :)

Kat, The Packers and Brewers have had great seasons and the Packers are still rolling along. Sorry to hear you are still dealing with the cold and increased pain. I wonder what has both our pain levels up so much? I hope you are able to get the pain under control soon.

newcervie, glad she is doing better and getting the sleep she needs. It is a shame about your shot but it is understandable. I don't envy your month wait though.

I should have slept today to make up for not sleeping last night but maybe I will sleep tonight instead. Kat, I too use padding under my knees as I would be in agony if I didn't. Today was another lazy day although I did work on the wood shop a bit. It has been a cold rainy day here. It should be a good night for sleeping.

I'm getting sleepy so this might not be a long post. If I miss you, please forgive me, I'll try and do better next time.

Mark, Congrats to the kids!! I bet everyone looked great :)

Brigitte, you need to get referred to a PM girl! One that will actually listen to you and work with you.
Love the pics, T is getting tall! She's got those lovely long legs! Our little girl is leaving us in the dust! sigh....

Kat, I hope your pain levels are down for a change hun. And that cold is GONE! Dh has a stuffy head right now. I'm trying to keep him away because I do not need or want it!

Newcervie, I hope your family starts feeling better very quickly! It's always awful when everyone is sick because they still expect mom to take care of everyone!

I've been fighting exhaustion and an increase in pain. I initially thought it was my normal hormonal flucuations but it's dragged on much longer than they normally would so I'm thinking this might be my new norm. I just saw my PM last week so I have to wait 3 more to see her again. I did mention some problems with my hands & neck but I backed out of tests at this point. I'm just so afraid of what the results might be. sigh.....

Speaking of results, while I was at the PM I picked up my copies of my last x-rays. Seems my lower spine is in a lovely zig zag shape :/:ambivalence: L5-S1 canal is severely narrowed. And now there is an anterolisthesis at L2-L3. yeah***

But onto happier news! My Marine and dil got full custody of my grandson today :) He's been with them since he was born last month and my dil tells me my son has stepped into fatherhood whole heartedly! Even surprised her.

Sadly I won't get to see him until next summer though :( We can't afford to go down there and the Marine is getting ready to be shipped back to Afghanistan. We are all SOOOOO not happy about this one! But it's just another instance of them lying to ds :( Unless some great miracle hits he will be leaving in December. Another Christmas in the desert :(

                    ((((HUGS))))

Melanie, sorry to hear the Marine is on his way back to Afghanistan as last I heard he would be out before another deployment. Our troops need to be back home and out of that country after all this time. We are asking too much of our troops to spend so many tours in combat zones. I understand wanting DH to stay away since he isn't feeling well.

It was a rainy cold day today in our area. I didn't sleep last night and couldn't get a good nap in so I went over to the kids house to scribe a piece of wood for the entry way. I need to cut it out and then put it in to finish up the door then it is up to them to have it painted. Our flooring is 2 days way so I have a big job coming up soon but it will be an easy job and will make a big difference in our basement, my living quarters I should say. I did get some sleep this past evening and I hope to get back to sleep soon as I need to catch up on what I have been missing.

Wow, that is scary! I popped in here thinking I would have tons to read and catch up on and see I posted just yesterday. I honestly didn't remember that I had been here! I must have been stupid tired, lol! Don't worry, I skimmed it and do remember writing so no one hacked me. I just didn't remember it was YESTERDAY!

Anyway, yes Mark, he was supposed to be ineligible for another deployment. :( sigh.... I wish they would just bring everyone home. Why do we have to police the entire world? And going broke doing it.... As of yet the Marine hasn't gotten his orders yet so I don't know what's going to happen.

It's been a nasty day here weather wise. Cold, windy and rainy ALL day. And of course I had to be out in it. But it's that time of year so I need to get used to it. Unfortunately it just made my already painful body hurt much worse. I don't know if it's a flare or if this is my new pain level :( I'm afraid it's a new level as it's been hanging around for awhile now. Ahhhh, the life of a spiney/fibro woman :ambivalence:

                        Hope everyone is doing well.

Melanie, sorry to hear the weather had you hurting even more. I had a lost day so I can't tell you what it was like here other than the furnace was on several times during the night so it is cold. The sad thing about our troops besides it would be nice to have them home is we will still be going broke with all them home. The fact is our federal gov't is too large and we want too much from it. I think back to times past and we got by without so many gov't programs, I don't want to turn this into a political post so I will leave it there. I hope Big Joe's surgery went well and he is having a good recovery. I don't think any major lumbar recovery is easy but hopefully he won't have any problems during recovery.

We are supposed to get our new flooring delivered today so I hope it is on time. My wife and I will take our time putting it in as we still have a few decisions to make and some prep work to do.Our SIL and Emery are suppose to come over this afternoon and it will be good to have them visit.

Big joe, I read your post and what wonderful news. You were blessed to have such good surgeons to get you out in 1.5 hours and to have you home already with full functions and only surgical pain to deal with.

The trucking company called and delivery for the flooring will be Monday. It gives us time to think about what we really want to do with the room. I told Penny I want her to treat it like a blank slate and we can do anything with the room. We talked about a few things and she wants to wait and see the color and texture of the flooring before deciding on paint and decorating the room. I was hoping to decide on furniture placement but she is a very good interior designer so I will wait until she is ready. Our SIL said he will help with the flooring so that will be a big help. The kids and Emery were over for supper and it was nice to play with Emery again. She is a fun girl and always active so she keeps us busy. Tyrel is home again but camping out tonight and coming into town tomorrow. I hope everyone else has a good weekend.

                                Hi All :)
Woke up at 5:40 to severe burning in rt hand. That ended sleep for me. Not sure if it from ulnar nerve or neck. Its definetly not just carpal tunnel. Mel my dr is neuro & pain management. I saw him thursday. Told him right leg getting worse. Neurontin does help but weakness is worse. Im going to ignore for now. Not willing or ready yet to explore other options. Neuro wrote script for my xray. Told him I didnt want to go back to see surgeon for now & would he please have it checked for me. So I have to do that next week. Praying its completely fused. 1 failed fusion is enough for one lifetime!!

Cervie sorry to hear about the asthma. It is scary cause then they just dont have regular illnesses! My oldest has the excersize induced also. Just had both inhalers filled as cold season is upon us!
Sorry u didnt get the shot. Where do they do it? Im interested as mine has been acting up.

Mel no way!! They cannot take your marine again :( That is just awful news.I sending ya some (((hugs)))! Keep us posted. How is the baby doing? Bet he is growing so quickly.
Glad u liked the pics. My baby is growing too quick too!! I am sure both kids will long pass me in height. Logan is al ready 5'8". He towers over me now. I have short genes I guess.

Mark sounds like the family is doing well!! How is Tyrel liking the classes. Happy to hear he is visiting with u!! Hopefully you & Penny come up with the floor plan for your new room. Im sure it will look great! A couple more days of rest before it shows! Enjoy the resting!

Kat hope your fever bug is gone!! Listen to your body and get lots of rest. Its the best you can do for it. Maybe seeing your dr would be a good idea too. May need antibiotic.
ps... You know that bike is cool even if the Jets are sucking this year...LOL

Ok I think I will try to rest. Typing on here is causing some severe burning and taking breaks help. Plus i hope to sleep more. Yesterday was non stop & the weekend looks no better. Sleep well all!!
