If I had a chance at a baby manx kitten I would oh so be back in cat business, LOL. They are so different and a female manx well it is like waiting for Christmas when they have babies. You never know especially if one of the parents is calico what color they will be or long tail rumpy. stubby or bob.

Glad you are getting the patio roof. The fall could have been oh so much worse. My ribs were brusied the most or I should say showed the most color. My shoulder and whole right side took the brunt of fall. I was just sore luckily, that is all. Ad the wait on floor, first time I ever needed help getting up. Just because I was so sore already in short time, rehurting shoulder etc. Still don't know if shoe was partly off foot or what. I cannot tell when I lose my shoes ever, I even walk out of them at town at times and hubby has to tell me.

Joy, you might get some shoes that cannot slip off & have a good grip on the soles. I still cannot recall how I managed to get up on my 3rd fall. first 2 falls I called my housemate on my cell to help me. someone should invent a little buzzer or something @ floor level,there's no way you can reach a phone from the floor! in your case I hope to hear you've gotten an alert button to wear. old uncle has one & they call here & housemate's cell when they pick him up in an ambulance so I know the system works! (not to mention your DH should know the best & most reliable one).

Mother had a call button. My leg has been giving away and now I have to start thinking about using my walker that I already have.
also for my own rememberance I want to say that my sister-in-laws mother passed away. We had gone to funeral home the night before so since I had not slept well we went to the graveside and not to the services. It would have been too embarrasing if I had slept in service and I might have. I am thinking that since my oxygen is low that must be the reason. But wearing it at night is enough for now. I am pretty sure my blood clots should have dissolved by now tho.

Joy, sorry about the death of the relative. you didn't assure us YOU would get a call button.......I will shut up about that,it's your decision afterall. (I'll just worry).

I finally got out of this place yesterday. went to buy flowers & potting soil. seems everytime I venture out it's a comic disaster in some way & yesterday was no different. suffice to say if there's a way to be unlucky in picking the wrong check out we managed to top the list.

weather has been nice past few days so I've been outside alot & soaking up some sun for a change!

my son & his dog came for Easter dinner. dog got to run off leash for the first time & he did fine. son helped my housemate move the water tanks & whiskey barrells. I'm calling them dumb & dumber in my head cause they managed to mess up the simplest tasks.

now it's wait & wait some more for the patio roof to get done.HM just came home & told me they are gonna pour more concrete for the posts,what a big mess I have to look forward to since all the rocks & ground cover surround will have to be scooped out now.

Calgon take me away! bring me back in about a month when this project might actually be completed!

deer ate my new flowers!

well I managed to get all the flowers planted & got up next morning to see the deer had eaten every bloom & the buds! off all the geraniums! I was not happy to say the least.

had the sense to put the pansies right by the back door cause I knew they'd gobble those up.

needless to say it's time to stop feeding the deer/birds.

we had 4 days of nice weather. now back to rain,rain,rain.

the backyard is a mess. wish had never gotten the bright idea to cover the patio. have a feeling it will never get done. I can no longer lift all my big river rocks I'd forgotten I had around the perimeter (have been covered with vinca minor,etc. for years).

I would cry but it wouldn't change anything!

Pati you coverd patio sounds lovely. I hope those two men finish it up for you. I had to laugh picturing them working together by your description.

Pati no worries, I do not need a call button. I do carry my phone with me constantly. Remember I said I reached up and got the cell and took it with me. The problem would still be that all the call button does is have them get in touch by still yet cell to hubby. Have to admit that it is the phones that allow the slip ups because of whatever reason, old, too many using them whatever.

I have a proof plan, I stick cell in my bra and if going without one, inside my pants, LOL. But that cell stays with me. It just does not always work for whatever reason. That is why I had to keep scooting when I fell. Just bad luck as most of the time, cell does work.

Did I say it was the first last Saturday? We had to take since Em's papa had back surgery. I love getting to see her three times a week.

Joy, I didn't mean to imply the roof is done. the lumber hasn't even been ordered! everything is a total mess & I'm biting my tongue alot.

I'm relieved you carry your cell with you. so far we've all been lucky with our weird falls.

sunshine again today. yesterday I went out to the shop & uncovered everything,found one mouse in a milk crate. kinda surprised just how much stuff I still have out there. I didn't even work for one hour & was exhausted. I have zero energy these days. plus it's sad to know my business is closed now & I'll not be seeing all the people I've known for years.

Christina, I don't know about your feet. It looks like it would be hard to walk. Isn't there anything they can do for you.

Not much is going on here. Snow is in the forecast. It won't stick. Just a bummer that it's happening at all. We still haven't heard from our contractor about our sun porch. I really would like to have the addition to the house. We could entaint more.

hey everyone !

it has been a glorious 3 days here in michigan! a bit cool with temps in the mid-50's, but so brilliantly sunny you feel 10 degrees warmer.

i have been outside with my dogs, 6 hours on wednesday and 4 yesterday. i played fetch with them and i was raking all those little helicopter seedlings that the maple tree drops. i have several piles of those and i need to put them in bags for the city to pick up. i gave all my plants a good watering yesterday, cause there wasn't much snow this year and not very much rain so far, either. my peony is growing before my eyes. i saw it grow 4 inches in 3 days earlier this week, plus it's got buds on it! my hydrangea's are leafing out and the ferns are getting shoots. i am pulling little weeds, things i know are weeds because i did plant some bulbs last year and i think they're the spiky leaves coming up...so if i don't know it's a weed, i don't pull .

yesterday was 4 weeks post surgery and i could go back to my hustle class. i have missed that SO MUCH! i have been praticing an easy hustle down my hallway for the last 2 weeks, just about 10 minutes a day. so i went to class yesterday and i was able to go 70 minutes, then i just lost energy and sat down. we do this move called a "ballroom turn" and i think that's what kind of made my "stomach turn"...lol. i was happy that i remembered all of the dances and bummed cause we learned a new one while i was gone and it looked like fun. i will just have to watch closer the next few weeks.

i think i'm going to plant my herbs this weekend, although they say rain, but not all day. i don't think we're going to get a frost anymore..it just feels too spring-y. my rose bush has grown by about 1/3 more. i might trim off a few little branches along the bottom, but i think i'm just going to let it do what it wants to. i want a wild rose bush...lol

so, i hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather, whether you're working outside or just sitting and enjoying the sun!

I had planned to scoop up some small rocks today & use as a path to my trailer,well it's pouring down! supposed to be nice this weekend-I will keep my fingers crossed.

Jeannie,I have an antique rambling rose. my friend & I snitched some clippings about 20 yrs ago,the old house was over 100 yr old & had been abandoned. I just found out deer like to eat roses......

another friend called me today to explain about her near death ER surgery last week. she doesn't have much left inside to create problems anymore! she had to have her DH move some furniture to accomadate (sp) her recovery & her blind dog fell on her a couple of times. I,of course managed to make her laugh & that was painful,so had to restrain my wicked sense of humor. just very glad she's OK!

neighbor called about their 2 dogs missing. I went out to look in this area & got drenched in a matter of minutes. the dogs were back by then (gone over 4 hrs),looked like they fell in one of the many ponds in the neighborhood. I told him it could have "just" been the rain,good to know the doggies are OK!

JO,if you are able to read this I want you to know we miss you & hope you are doing better!

Really. warm weather? Don't what you talking about we are getting the cold weather. I still haven't uncovered my gardens yet. Hopefully, the plants all survived with not having the snow cover.

Went to the MOA to see Princess Diana's exhibit. It seems like yesterday that she died. The exhibit had some of her clothes and the family jewery. It was kinda fun to see. Her wedding dress was amazing.

Jeannie, so happy that you are dancing the night away. I bet your dogs really missed you when you were laid up.

clouds has your shingles gotten better? I hope they are g-o-n-e fory you. They are dreadful things I hear. My dear daughter had them twice already! Anyway I hate that you are unhappy but it is good of you to report in with us. I hope you feel better soon.
