Happy Fools Day !! March came in like a lamb, and left like a lamb,, thats a 1st. beautiful weather we been having here, but we do need more moisture,,

Well its done,, the rest of Dad's farmland it sold, the trust is closed,, I can see my sister do a sigh of releif,, she did a outstanding super job, making sure Dad's wishes were carried out, and putting up with some disgrundled family members who was giving her greif,,

I am ok,, a little twinge here and there, but basically everything, is almost back to normal,,

We have garden tilled, onions in {a first for us, having it done in March { after the garden gurus said not to plant "anything" till after the 11th of April}, radishes, cabbages,, my husband put them in,, I just shook my head,,"men",,

Jeanie this just makes me sad, this happened,, I hurt right along with you,,,,{{{{ hugs from Iowa}}}}

Thought I should check in since it's "Fools Day"!
Still here suffering through this ankle thing. Life was tough enough, but now . . . I shouldn't complain, others have it tougher yet.

Jeanie, we're all keeping hope alive for you in prayer. I can't imagine how discouraged you and your husband must feel right now, but there is always the possibility that things will turn around.
My sister-in-law's niece had a liver transplant as an infant more than 18 years ago. She is monitored closely at Stanford University and is still doing well. And my husband recently talked to a guy whose 26 year old daughter recently had her 2nd liver transplant 2 weeks ago in Louisiana (she lives in California). He told my husband that they found the best states to get on the transplant lists are Indiana and Louisiana. I have no idea where they came up with that info, but I thought I'd pass it along. Hang tight and know that were all here for you.

A bit brisk and windy and wet here the past three days. A little mix Saturday evening and Sunday morning the deck has spots of ice. Yesterday (Sunday) a contractor friend came over for breakfast and he tore out the upstairs vanity, toilet, and bathroom floor. David did a lot of the grunt work (without yet having been cleared by the doc to do so...that appointment is this afternoon). I did a Home Depot run while the guys worked (I HATE going to those huge stores) and then the 20" faucet connectors they asked me to get were 2" too short and the store in town (only one open on Sundays) only carried up to 20 " connectors. The PlyCap to top the bead board he had to run along the wall where they tore out the vanity and counter top did not have a groove to fit atop the board and they did not need the Luon sub-flooring they asked me to get as David found some in the work shop.

So...today when we do David's final Post-op visit, we'll take those things back to Home Depot. Meanwhile our Contractor friend has to go to a supply place that has what he needs to finish the job today and will be back tomorrow night to install the toilet and get the sink connected. In the meanwhile, David has been installing flooring and has half the room finishd and hopes to finish the rest after dinner this evening. We shall see. He's pretty achy today.


I'm having some mild gait issues that are causing some left knee and hip pain but it is manageable. Still doing a 30-40 minute workout in the water 5-6 mornings a week. This is nearly 6 years now! I have no doubt it is playing a big role in keeping me so mobile.

Peg, when you say "almost back to normal" do you mean NORMAL or do you mean back to where you were before the Novantrone and Tysabri and fall? Do you have the impression that the Stem Cell treatment made a big difference? Just wondering...as I think a lot of folks are.

Jeanie keeping you guys in my thoughts.

I am home from a wonderful Spring Break on the Oregon coast with the family. It was raining when we left and that turned into snow and then a blizzard and a usual it appeared in the high desert where there is nothing but road which I could hardly see and no place to pull over. Quite a white knuckle ride and it took 12 hours to travel 375 miles. I had forgotten how hard it is to drive in blowing snow without becoming hypnotized. True to form about 5 miles from home it quit and it was dry at home!

Despite the trip home the MS is quiet. My blood pressure never goes below 140/90 Considering what it can go up to I guess that is pretty good. But I have to wonder..... The docs opinion is: they can get it down but since I am already taking a cocktail of stuff the next type of meds can have some really unwanted side effects. Even the specialist is of this opinion. I don't want to borrow MORE problems but even still.....

I have an appointment this afternoon to re-up some scripts and I thing I am going to bring it up again just for my own piece of mind.

Its about 50 deg and suppose to get up to 65 today. Everything is turning green! Spring has arrived.

Be healthy everybody and it is April 2nd time to check in.

Am I the thread killer? Woke up this morning and I am paying for last few days of over doing it. Gonna rest and see how I feel. Balance is off and vision is a bit wonky. Blood pressure is up a bit (for me).

:) Hi everyone. On the transplant rejection paper they said David should have a bone scan, a CT scan and a PET scan and send the results for reconsideration. He had the CT scan Monday and a chest X-ray. David is having the bone scan with contrast medium injected 3 hours before today. He has an appointment for the PET scan Monday at 8:30 AM. For the moment his spirits are a little improved with the hope of reconsideration. Please keep praying.

Peg I'm glad you have the estate closing behind you and the garden started. Have you seen any results from the stem cell treatment?

Nuthatch David has to go through the VA as he has no other insurance.

Cherie reading your activities makes me tired, cleaning windows, working out, etc. Are you sure you have MS? I do not know any MSers with your energy level. I am happy you have it, just wish I had some too.

Gary you are never a thread killer. Quit overdoing it and rest. I slept late this AM since David left for the VA early, and now I'm doing nothing but computer and resting. I will probably do crossword puzzles or play solitaire on the computer. Jeanie :)

Hello everyone...again Jeanie, you and David are in my prayers. Glad to hear that mostly everyone else is managing except for Cherie who defies the laws of MS! lol I need a nap after reading her posts.

I had a horrible day yesterday, I learned that 2 relatives passed away, one was only 15. Such a sad day. Also my husband's niece has breast cancer. Like I said, a sad day.

I have been managing fairly well, but with some tiredness and lots of eye pain lately. Frustrating to say the least and interferring with my grandbabies' time. I have a new grandson and my granddaughter is almost 2...I need to be functional for them! They are a joy.

This is a busy year for us...New grandbaby, daughter graduating from university, moving into with her fiance, getting married in August. I am getting rid of our apt. in Canada and putting my stuff in storage the end of the month, busy, busy, busy.

All my best to everyone...I hope David makes that transplant list Jeanie...hugs to you.

:) To all of you Happy Easter and a wonderful Passover.

So far the tests David has had came back okay. The big deal will be the PET scan with contrast from neck to thighs. If any cancers have spread out of the liver they will show up on this. We're praying there are none so he can reapply for a transplant. This scan will be Monday morning.

I hope all of you had a Happy Easter. Mine was too quite - but otherwise fine. The weather was beautiful, but I did not get out.

Jeanie you and David will be in thoughts and prayers as he under goes the PET scan. Would be wonderful if it turned as well as the other two.
